I'm new to the forum scene....but I've been playing online for years...I've decided to take over an affiliate website and bring it to where I would like.

I see all over that affiliates and their partners are wary of newbies and blacklisted sites, etc.

I would like to start a family that is made up of honest/hardworking people, thus far most of my staff here are online gamblers and we go with the principle that every customer/client is a member of our family and as such we treat them that way. By keeping in touch, even if its just to say hi, making sure clients are satisfied and comfortable, ensuring payments are made on time, etc.

My question is this, I have to say I find your site very informative and all around friendly, I don't want to find myself in any hot water so how can I go about looking for potential affiliates without getting into trouble ?

Thus far I've been on a few different forums and have not proposed anything to anyone (don't think I've encountered any potentials either) just commenting on their statements and adding a thanks or advice when I can.

Any assistance or advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Newbie for now

I thought I'd reply here rather than to your PM. That way other people can chime in too. Hope that's ok.

If you've been a player at numerous sites for many years you should already have a good idea which sites can be trusted. If not, there's always the accred list to start with. Also, are you looking for sites to work with, or other affiliates? Your PM was a little unclear.

You mention having staff, who I assume need to be paid each month. If you dont know anything about running an affiliate site, how do you intend to make payroll? It may be quite some time before you're making a profit, considering your current low level of knowledge and experience. If I was your employee and I saw you on a forum looking for some no deposit bonuses and tips on how to run your business, I'd honestly be a bit worried. I hate to be the pessemist, but are you certain this was the correct carrer move choice for you?

I find your post confusing too.
Are you involved in running a casino yourself (Jackpot Jungle?) and are looking for affiliates to promote it?
Or are you running an affiliate site and looking for decent casinos to promote?

Sorry it was unclear

Hi guys

The affiliate site I'm starting isn't my day job I'm a manager in an installation company, and the IT guys who have helped so far don't need to be paid the really advanced they assist me with, I'm trying to get the rest of stuff going for myself.

I'm so new to this and I'm probably not even going about it the right way, but I gotta say thanks for taking the time maybe to give me some direction.

I'm an affiliate for this group of new casinos coming out Jackpot Jungle, Oceans Reef & Royal Lady, thus far Jackpot Jungle is the only one up, all of them are powered by Real Time Gaming. I have met the owners and dealt with most of their staff, they are going about their venture honest and fair which is why I joined their team or I'm trying to at least, but don't know exactly where I should start.

Thus far I have an affiliate site up wageron.com where you can view details about the program and sign up.

I'm setting up a casino review site EasyCasinoGames.com which should be up within the week.

I'm now looking for affiliates to sign with me to help advertise for the casino group I'm offering 70% Rev Share no CPA at this time.

Thats where I'm at guys any advice on where to go from here or where I can attract affiliates ?

Oh yeah I've joined CAP and Affiliate Guard Dog...

Sorry if I'm just green at this but I'm a fast learner and don't intend to just give up....

You're a VERY slow learner (if you ARE a learner that is).

Tell me...

Let's say you decided to sell cupcakes from home. You want to put up some flyers.

So, you go down the main street, and start handing out colorful flyers advertising YOUR cupcakes top customers going into the local cupcake shop.

How do you think the shopkeeper might feel about that??

Just think about that for a minute. Oh, and you might want to read the forum rules. If this is an example of how diligent and careful you are, then I don't hold out much hope for your business venture. Mind you, based on your selection of casino (singular) to promote, I have to wonder if you aren't just flogging white labels. As an affiliate, you're not going to make a living out of advertising one casino, or even one group.

Thanks

First I'm gonna say thanks I knew I was probably breaking the rules by asking around.....so I'll stop.

second I'm gonna say.....you're really rude and talk like your 6'7".....you sure are bad from behind a PC.....met so many guys like you before and in person a peepsqueek (my word choice, you just seem like a....)

You seem to be senior on this site and forum so I'm not gonna get into anything with you......but you can get your point across without being an a$$....

The way I read it, he's not an affiliate - it looks like he's trying to run the affiliate program and recruit affiliates to promote their brands.
If you look at his forum posts, you will see his several shilly references to JJ.

I have just checked the T&Cs on the Affiliate site (or rather, the lack of them!) and they're appalling.
The T&Cs at the casino aren't much better.
Any affiliate promoting these brands must be either daft or desperate. Worryingly, while Googling the brand I see that some already are. :eek2:

Still useful...

I agree the T&C on both are inadequate....and need to be redone....just like many other issues are being dealt with ASAP. I working to get this project where its supposed to be.

Working with other brands to be added shortly not just one casino/group.

and then you get....let me see you're acquainted with the other one so you may be called peepsqueek #2.....are you guys bitter or something...girls not like you much.....certain things on the tiny side....:(

OH Wait sorry just saw it you're a "house-husband"....that explains it....sorry won't waste anymore time spittin back.

but I get it can't do what I was doing looking for affiliates and I've stopped as I previously stated.....to everyone....I'm sorry still have a good impression of the site and I will abide by the rules....don't want to ruin it for others...

The only things here on the "tiny side" are:

1. Your intellect, and

2. Your imagination.

It's people such as yourself that give the industry a bad name. If you're willing to behave like a 7 year old in a public forum, goodness knows how you'll treat your affiliates and customers

I'm really glad that you've stopped looking for affiliates. Personally insulting other members just because you were called out for shilling and using someone else's site for your own commercial gain is a far better way to make friends

The thing is, with those sites you are trying to polish a turd and will measure your success accordingly. If you think setting up a website and affiliate links is the ticket to sitting a home and making an easy fortune, you are sadly mistaken.
Your product is highly suspect, and people with whom you disagree are obviously not those to learn from but merely worthy of juvenile insults.

lol, just took a look at the Jackpot Jungle website, the greatest thing I found is that they have a game that's not available at any other RTG - "Jumping Jeans" :eek2:

If I wasn't so tired I could come up with something funny to say about that. ;)

i-Gaming reps will at all times conduct themselves in a professional manner. Your presence here is to provide players and affiliates with information, and to assist our members when need be. Your account will be closed if you attack other's businesses, exploit the board for marketing purposes, poach players - or any other conduct the staff deems unbecoming of an i-Gaming representative. Do not misrepresent your business. This account is a privilege; keep it as professional as possible. Please remember that your boss (or share holders) may be reading your every word.

@pascal28 - the reason you are getting lambasted here is that you came across as a novice player looking for info - but you are now admitting that you are an affiliate manager. You've picked the wrong forum to pull this ploy since most of our senior members will call you out on this.

You are lacking professionalism when you reply to a critisicm with insulting comments. Don't play games here. If you come in as a shill, you'll be treated as one. Don't come here and lie to the community about your intentions.

Understood

I now understand that sir and thank you for being civil....I do apologize I should not have spit back...

I understand the calling me on it part...but they could had a better approach than to insult me....

I will still use the forum but correctly from now on........wish someone could have just said....

dog like you didn't understand the rules you can't do that here....or something...

thanks again....you hopefully ended this thread with something positive

Enjoy the blessed Sunday evening
