Question Have You Ever Been Banned After Winning Big?

I have heard of this happening many a time on CM but would like to establish a few more facts!

So does this occur against players at UKGC sites?
Does it happen more or less frequently to say Canadian or US players?

Basically anyone who this has happened to let us know!

Thanks!

Doesn't it depend on the amount won, most casinos just pay wins instantly when withdrawn, if you win a large amount it's more likely to be reviewed and this may pick up some patterns they don't like

Good point, but I'm trying to get at cases when it seems to have been done for no other reason than a player being lucky and not spunking it back, or sheer spite.

Then again, I suppose your point could apply as a casino might not value a player who always withdraws after a big win and still deposits thereafter at the same moderate rate.

Bonus banned but never completely banned, not that I recall anyway.

Cassava closed me down when I'd had a couple of grand off them following a legal loophole I found in their bingo games ;)

Not a ban, however remember that picture of a big Microgaming slot win I had a few years back, you know the one you guys kept pestering me to post over and over again, yes right? - Got the one?

Well strange as the following week, when I retired to bed once night, there was this rotting horse head on my pillow.................

From an online casino perspective, not banned but stakes seriously restricted or a ridicuously low deposit limit/loss limit imposed which is no good for my style of play so I close the account. Not a ban per se, more a "we don't want you to play at these stakes, and we know you won't". Only place I play online now is ABC but currently on a 6 month break due to work taking me all over the place (I don't like to gamble when on the road)

From an online bookies perspective - yes been banned from most - some for matched betting others due to wins. It has also spread to physical bricks and mortar bookies (for me) and the local ones in my area (William Hill/Paddy Power) won't take my bets or they significantly cap my bet to a point where it is not woth event walking round to the bookies to put the bet on. Only place I can get a decent sized bet on is betfair and my account is unrestrited there, but I don't use the casino. I need the exchange for my horse trading so don't want to risk them closing my account or restricting it.

Not banned but bonuses reduced with increased wagering, VIP status withdrawn,, Game $ bets allowed lowered to total bets of 2.50, 1.50 and 1.76, (even on non bonus deposits) and max cashout over a week on all method (global) restricted to 1500.

RTG Casino's really do seem to have a problem with winners- I never had these issues when I could play microgaming casinos.

During my time in Canada, the majority of cases were promotional limitations/exclusions rather than bans/closures although those did happen on the dodgier sites. A big win usually lead to closer checks which led to business/management decisions. Sometimes it would happen after a pattern of winning.
