Watching Calendar's Yorkshire tv at 50 last week proved we are a great county and have produced some great talent from Yorkshire to the tv world. Long live Yorkshire and the day when we become a country in our own right is getting closer.

I’m celebrating it in Whitby, holidaying anywhere else but Gods County is just madness.

Once again it is that time of year when the greatest county in the world soon to be greatest country celebrates it's greatness

and here is a very funny Yorkshire joke which everyone in Yorkshire laughs at when they are feeling a little down

We celebrate with traditional Yorkshire food in the evenings then we have a remembrance of Richard Whiteley ceremony before the Whippet race on the Yorkshire Moors at dusk then we sing how great Yorkshire is as the sun sets.
