Yes, happy memorial day and long may the USA and us in little bro 'yookay' continue to stand united against the various nutters, malevolents and kleptocrats the human race throws up from time to time.....

I am honoring the memory of my grandfather today. He was part of the European Theater of Operations (ETO) in WWII. He was a sweet natured and quiet man. He never got over the atrocities that he saw.

This was before there was PTSD and many of those men were not treated properly after they returned from War.

In his case they treated his with shock treatments because that was all they knew back then. I always wondered why he would sit in dark room with the curtains drawn in the middle of the day.

Thank you grandpa and all of the boys/men and women of the "Greatest Generation" may you all Rest in Peace.

Wanted to add: One thing the military was not short on: Unfiltered Lucky Strikes cigarettes. Grandpa died of lung cancer.
