Happy Hallowe'en (month)

So, going right stupid here, been spending wayyyy too many hours, nights and money (couple hundred in costumes, couple hundred in gear/decos, few hundred for vids, screen, projector....though, pulled 2k out of casino, so 'free' money) .
Always been a bar guy, dressing up, drinking, going out or house party which I generally host, and that's like 400 for drinks, food and costume anyway.
But as I...*cough*...age, and now, live in suburbia, loving tricking out the house and drinking in, and doing decos.

Last year, neighbour went way mad, whole house insane, talk of the town, but he moved, so I'm picking up his slack.
Doing projected vids in the garage, a spooky lab with candles and lights and gear, and made a creepy seance station.
We've a zillion kids here and I've dogs that keep me home so having fun setting up

Still lots of work to do; only 1st of October, mostly just setting up ideas and spacing.


What is everyone else planning?

the creepy ghost kid has been hanging in my garage a couple weeks creeping me, mom and friends out lmao, glad shes outside now

she hangs like 7' tall so i keep forgetting shes there when i go out for a soda til she swings on a breeze and looks at me

It's gonna be a good one. We're stocking up on beans & loo roll just incase of a No Deal

yard's slowly coming together; the gazebo (lab) looks pretty banal during the day, but everything lights up at night to give it that mad scientist laboratory (hopefully) feel
My cam phone is the worst, but a few pics to get the gist

just something to give a big of spook factor for when the kids walk up for candy

So I've a video projector and screen across the garage to show Halloween vids come Hallowe'en Eve/Night but have been testing it to make sure it all plays
Now I've every kid on the block at dusk parked in my yard waiting for me to play movies

I dont much mind; probably keeps them out of trouble...theyre good, they just chill in the adirondacks with popcorn, hanging with their little friends and costs me nothing but a few minutes of work

Looked to be just awful here; ice cold rain the entire day, set everyhing up and figured, damn, wont get a single kid

then, we had a slight break in the rain and got around 200 kids
lots of compliments on the decos and 'haunted' house/yard and we had a blast seeing all the costumes
ran spooky vids in the garage and a creepy seance station, and the tab/gazebo for decos and candy
the parents loved all the vodka treats (jello shooter syringes)

then, woke at 6am, no power and f*cktons of snow

ps cant see me lol but im the one dressed entirely in black
