CASINOMEISTER'S PRESS RELEASE:
1 April 2010
For immediate release
CASINOMEISTER PURCHASED BY CALIFORNIA GAMBLING CONTROL COMMISSION
After several months of private negotiations, Bryan Bailey, the operator of the renowned online casino information portal, has agreed to sell Casinomeister to the California Gambling Control Commission for an undisclosed amount. "This has been a difficult decision to make, but I feel that it was a logical move since the US is gearing up for a major move into the market after the UIGEA takes effect. Selling the site to my home state made sense. The Gambling Commission has agreed to carry on with the Meister Mission, and it makes me proud to be a Native Californian."
The California Gambling Control Commission is the regulatory body that governs the Californian Indian Casinos and beginning 30 April 2010, Casinomeister.com will be handed over to the Tribal Leaders of the Kumeyaay Indians. Jerry Lightfoot, Tribal Leader and fellow San Diegan stated, "There will be a few changes after the hand over, especially the Accredited Casino Section. These casinos will need to be licensed by the State of California, but I'm sure we can cut a deal to ensure there is a smooth transition." Lightfoot is adamant that it will be business as usual for the rest of the Casinomeister services. He continued, "The only change I foresee is that we don't hire robots - so the robot known as Vortran has got to go."
Max Drayman, Casinomeister casino complaints manager, is happy with the upcoming transition: "The Commission has offered to relocate my office to the Salton Sea in Southern California - I've heard it's a lot like Lake Tahoe and I can't wait." The members of the forum and Casinomeister newsletter will also be catered to by the Commission with new and improved California-centric promotions. "Spot the Fake Ad" will be replaced by "Spot the Walmart Shopper" and the annual "Bierfest" will be replaced by "Wine Cooler Party". There will also be free trips to Viejas Casino awarded to winners of the California Mellow-speak contest which will held during the Autumnal equinox harvest.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, overseer of the Gambling Commission, commented on the role of Casinomeister and that it would be filled by a candidate he has yet to select stating "Let me tell you this, it won't be one of those girlie men."
