Your Input Please Halloween - Uninformed, Kowtowing, Gormless Cretins (UKGC)

Try saying the bold bit aloud and tell me if it makes sense ?

I mean, I've never used it as I'm not effected by the UK regulations (and therefore I cannot test it either). But from what I hear the script restores removed features from slots. I guess the features are still loaded in when you load up a slot but then somehow disabled for the player if they're from UK.. and the script then enables them yet again.

I'm not telling anyone to use this to be able to bonus buy again, even if it works. Just saying it's there. And yeah, I'm sure this isn't allowed, but nor is auto-clicking really.. auto-clicking = botting, definitely not ok if you get caught.

Well you can always use swiftspins. It's a script that runs on browser and enables removed features for slots even in the UK. It's intended to restore quickspins but i hear it also restores bonus buy functionality and I'm sure that after this update, also auto-play.

Before start using it, would consider little moment to warning they give on their website (word strongly is bolded in their pop-up message):

Access to Swift Spins is done so on educational purposes only. We strongly advise you thoroughly check the terms and conditions of the casino you are playing at if you are using our tool.

We do not take any responsibility for the use of Swift Spins in any capacity. Use of this tool is done so entirely at your own risk.

I don’t see how a customer circumventing things like auto play would have repercussions on the casino in a court of law. The casino would have done their bit by disabling the function so really it falls on the user.

I’m quite laissez faire when it comes to these restrictions. If a customer wants to use auto play badly enough then so be it IMO. It’s a totally ill thought out rule that the majority of players do not want. I would not condone any casino using a circumvention of auto play rules to void a balance. I personally wouldn’t choose to do it though, just not worth the potential hassle.

Bonus buys, however, are a totally different kettle of fish and can cause real gambling related harm to the end user. Therefore I think the casino would be totally right to void any balance if the user attempts to circumvent that.

Yes, I saw the report also, it is skewed and led by incompetence and a real lack of understanding; it forsakes the needs of many also, for the few.

I simply cannot wait for the UKGC to remove the tool I use for budgeting my time and spending on online slots for the sake of my safety and to protect me from gambling harm.

I'm preparing for many head-scratching moments of 'how many spins have I done?' and 'what was my loss limit?'

Certifiable idiots that do not have a clue what they are doing.

p.s. apart from banning the reversal of withdrawals - that was a smooth move and not idiotic in any way :p

Is Swiftspins still going? I tried this months ago and it only seemed to be working on (quite aptly) Quickspin slots, and none of the other providers mentioned. I checked back for updates in the following weeks and nothing, so I assumed it was an abandoned project...

Cannot really see an issue with auto clickers from where I am sitting

*) Casino asked to remove auto play as per UKGC rulings, fine casinos do this, no rule breaking here.

*) No advantage to players at all

*) Players using them are not causing casinos to break any governing bodies regs etc

*) Spin speed on manual (or auto clicker) spins are timed anyway, again no regulations being broken

If I owned a casino, rather than lose players, knowing no rules are being broken and that it would be nigh on impossible for UKGC etc to prove, I would defo turn a blind eye.

Problem with this post is it makes sense, where very little of the newer rules do, so there is that!

The problem with auto clickers is you are restricted to one game at a time and you cant do anything else on the pc while it is running, we need browser addons, AHK scripts or casinos/providers to just say NO its part of the game.

Most, if not all casinos t&c's have a clause that mentions the use of software, usually quite non-specific as to the type of software.

Will some casinos use that clause to their advantage? I don't know if a casino could detect the use of one easily.

I cannot see anybody getting their money if they were in breach though, It's a clear swerve of the purpose of the ruling.

But I don't think every casino will be on the watch for it. Just as I reckon we may see the odd casino refusing to pay because of it.

Either way, still not looking forward to counting spins, they let me have a calculator in school.

im not so bothered anymore about autospins being took off end of october,i used for the first time yesterday a autoclicker it was so smooth with no issues, yes i lost £100 on bonanza but i still enjoyed it

Just wading through the levels on Jamming Jars 2, reached top level last night and waiting for the "big" feature to drop.
Think without autoplay my finger would be a bloody stump, also i would have been sat playing for hours and doing nothing
else which is not mentally or physicaly healthy.
Think before the ban is introduced, the instigators should be made to reach the final feature on lil devil, JJ2 and that beehive game,
see if they still feel autoplay is bad.

@ChopleyIOM here's my take on it too:
Yeah it's a total sack of crap, as we both surmised in slightly different ways, if a 15 year old submitted the UKGC's report as a piece of GCSE homework their teacher would ceremonially set fire to it on the spot and arrange to have the pupil expelled for being dangerously witless.

I don't understand why the big firms don't group together and take the decision to judicial review, the ukgc have put the change to consultation, received an overwhelming negative response and then simply ignored it, so it was a sham exercise with a predetermined outcome/conclusion.

Have they even looked at the rsi aspect [ how many slot players in uk, average annual spin count] or affect on those with existing hand problems. Have they looked at alternatives, an option to switch off autoplay in the responsible gambling tools, returned and asked the gamcare respondents whether that would have helped. Or restrict autoplay by stake level.

I'd bet if the gambling sector revenue for slots goes down the ukgc will judge the rule change a success, without looking to see if the saved revenue came from problem gamblers now having more control due to removal of autoplay, it's bonkers and perhaps another example of problem gamblers [and I've been there this last year or so] looking for reasons outside of their own control to blame, helps them cope if they can put monumental personal fuck-ups at the door of the casino/slot setup. [even partly]

Obviously gambling addiction/chasing and the related big losses are a serious problem, but to me this just shows the ukgc are clutching at straws to improve the situation, because if this is the answer or a significant factor how comes it's taken them over 20 years to find it out? [including the predecessor gaming board]

Edit: Having just watched Dunover's vid on this, I wouldn't now make that point about blame above, i'd forgotten abt children being permitted to go on fruit machines at the seaside, funfairs etc... I use to do it myself probably aged 10, and you never forget that unlike some other things done during childhood, so it is like planting a seed. Far bigger factor for ukgc to look into.

At Halloween I am going to set my monthly deposit limit at £1 per month at every casino that I play at except paddy power for my sports betting where I will have a modest monthly limit that should cover a months worth of losses on sports betting alone.
Feck the UKGC. I can see our deposit limits being heavily policed for us anyway in the not too distant future so this will just help me get used to finding other means of entertaining myself.
Like porn. I don't think anyone will limit that any time soon :p

Not sure if you heard about OnlyFans limiting porn on their platform :eek2:

Yeah I don’t understand it either. Surely the casinos have the ways and means collectively to make a stand against this lunacy??

The future looks increasingly bleak if we’re just going to sit back and allow every aspect of our life to be micromanaged for us by people that don’t even know us; simultaneously putting the kibosh on any bit of fun.
