....

The Oversight Committee has used internal documents and information to showing where Fast and Furious weapons have shown up and been used in Mexico. It reveals more recoveries than Department of Justice has disclosed to the Committee in official answers ... and yet it's still only a partial picture.

The Department of Justice had no comment on that aspect of the report

The first large recovery of weapons sold to suspected drug cartel traffickers under ATF's watch was on Nov. 20, 2009 in Naco, Sonora, Mexico. All 42 weapons (41 AK-47s and a giant .50 caliber rifle) traced back to Fast and Furious suspects. Some had been bought, turned around and delivered to the cartel practically overnight.

Yet ATF allowed the acquisitions and dealings to continue for more than a year, until December of last year, when Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered. Two Fast and Furious assault rifles were recovered at the murder scene.

On a recent visit to Mexico, the Oversight Committee was allowed to view bullet holes

That is absolutely ridiculous. I am not surprised by it, probably no one in our country is surprised by this. Absolutely ridiculous.

How do these people sleep at night, knowing that what they are doing is allowing innocent people to be in the line of fire. Something has gone awry in our government. Or maybe it should be said something has gone awry AGAIN???

Astounding isn't it? The ATF sells or ... 'leak' a huge number of guns to the cartels .... I mean... come ooooonnnnn.... what did they think they were going to do with them? Hang them on the wall along with garland at xmas for decorations?

This one just has me totally :eek2:

And we wonder why the rest of the world is losing respect for us. Stories like this might be an answer why.

I love my country, like other Americans do. But I really wish we could figure out how to get "good" people to help us run this country. Instead we get egomaniacs and sociopaths who get elected and then cause this kind of mess. It is disheartening sometimes.

I don't understand why we don't just go into Mexico and blow away the bad guys like we do in all those other countries and then pour money into it for rebuilding. I mean really, what's the difference? I would think the 200 or so young women gone missing in Juarez would give us reason in itself. It's incredible and so very very wrong. The only time we seem to be outraged is if a couple of DEA agents get shot and although I feel for their families, they do that for a living, what do they expect? I just don't get it.
