UNCONFIRMED REPORTS ON GERMAN GAMBLING DEAL

Has the European Commission brokered a sportsbetting deal with German states?

Unconfirmed reports in Der Spiegel, Europe's biggest and Germany's most influential weekly news publication suggest that the European Commission may have broken the impasse between German states defending their online gambling monopolies against gambling companies from other EU nations, and EU policies requiring free access to goods and services between EU nations.

The report claims that Charlie MacCreevie's European Commission officials have suggested a compromise solution that would see the 16 German states retaining sole authority over lottery and casino gambling in return for opening up German sportsbetting activities to private companies - presumably within as well as outside the country but confined to companies within EU states in the foreign context. The German reaction to the proposal is not known.

Der Spiegel reports that, The [European] Commission would in no way challenge the existence and continuation of the states monopolies on lotteries and other forms of gambling in return for an opening up of the sports betting market.

The German states have vigouresly opposed the intrusion on their monopolies by foreign betting companies, and were informed earlier this year by the European Commission that denying access to companies from other European Union nations could result in legal action.

This means, if germans play in an online casino its bad, but if they place some bets on sports online, its ok?!

What about online Sportsbooks with attached casinos, like bet365/centrebet, i could transfer my money from sports to casino and play there...:what:

If online casino create a "sportssection" they could legaly avoid the german laws...

I have to advise that, 72 hours and more since this piece first appeared there has been no EC confirmation that I have seen. This may be because the German states have not yet responded, of course.

EU troubles.

There is so much gambling and other different laws that the EU government will be addressing these issues for decades to come.

The EU is like a group of children, trying to play by the same rules, or assimulate other children, into their fold, even by force.

If you're familiar with the term "NWO", or world government, you'll see how the EU is involved with North American business and dealing with Asia.

It's an elite group of countries, trying to compete with one another, but working towards strengthening itself against the east and south.Their control on the West, is growing, because North America was founded by many EU countries in the past.

Gambling is a major money and business issue, especially when the con people are involved, as well as other syndicates.

Gambling isn't going away anytime soon, and if the casinos let greed ruin things, it'll be the players across the world that will have to stand up to their odds shaving ways or simply not gamble at all.

Best of luck and wishes to you.
