Genesis Affiliates (Cruise, Pelaa etc.) slow pay/no pay.

Just a word of advice - this programme has been OK for the best part of 6 years. Since the start of this year, the usual payment date (around the middle of the following month after earnings) has become erratic and seems to have stopped altogether.

It started with payments being near or at the end of the month, 2 weeks later than normal. Then they began to go into the following month, around 7-10 days, so very late.

I did enquire about this and was given a kind of stock reply about 'some delays with payments' or 'will ask finance to speed things up' and last time 'it will all return to normal, just don't know when!'

Now it's even worse as June's money is now over a month late and still hasn't been paid and my spidey sense tells me all is not right at Genesis Affiliates. This has now occurred all through 2022 so far so is clearly not a temporary thing.

My policy nowadays is to limit liability and basically tell programmes "You no payee, I no displayee" in these circumstances. You shouldn't be working for nothing.

If they owe me a few hundred it's their problem, a few thousand and it's mine. So I will not be letting it become my problem.

Be aware, there are payment issues at Genesis Affiliates.

Are the casinos also dragging their feet paying players? Yes different business models but there is a relationship.
Not as far as I am aware, but it's the casino which hands the money over to the aff. programme so if things are a bit stretched the affs will be paid last. They had a fine and UK license suspended for a while so I'm wondering if this is a knock-on effect from that. Who knows for sure, they aren't exacly communicative right now to the affs. All I can say for certain is I've lost confidence in the payments.

Seems I did the right thing:

You do not have permission to view link Log in or register now.

Also skyped a few other affs. who haven't been paid or have had to badger them to get overdue amounts.

So, believe that Genesis Affiliates will give some more correct answer and finally solve the problem
I have had strong hints that all is not well alas, so have removed all links. Obviously still no payment received.

Over on AGD forum it seems this situation is spreading fast and there's more and more shafted affiliates with no payment in last 2-3 months. Apparently some money was made available yesterday to pay some affiliates although none have confirmed receiving it that are involved in the complaint thread. It seems most affs have removed their links now.

This is so true they did not reply to any of my emails or anything after I told them I had problems with their withdrawals and that they still to this day, owe me approximately €8556. Withdrawals they claim was processed, but wasn’t.

This thread is nothing to do with player withdrawals, but the affiliate programme not paying as they should.

I know it's an old thread but I used to work for and with these guys a few years ago. Did you ever manage to get paid? In general they were professionals but there were some bad affiliate managers. One actually stole from an affiliate but was cought, fired and the affiliate paid of course

Right, this doesn't warrant a new thread because the original issue became static around the time of the last post here. So I can answer you right here where you have posted.

When I said above that my affiliate manager stated there was some funds just made available to pay affiliates I did get paid shortly afterwards. I had a decent aff. manager, can't recall his name right now. It was an Israeli programme. So I only had about 290euros that month, it was paid.

After this I asked him, man-to-man, if he were me, would he risk exposing himself by continuing to promote the casinos? He was honest, said off the record, an emphatic no!

At this point I had about only 160e owing and that I never got paid as shortly after we had this chat I removed the casinos, then group went bust and stopped trading. He tipped me off essentially.

There is one incident that occurred about 3 years before the bust, when the group was functioning OK:

One morning I checked my stats about 4 days into the month, at 10:00 GMT which is the time the daily updates about revenue and new players etc. comes through. I had over 3,000 euros in my balance and the day before it was less than 200. As a sole-trader affiliate on a small scale, this was exceptional and pleased me immensely, although it could soon be eaten away over the coming weeks by winning players.

At 10:04 I decided to log back in to take a screenie, it was gone, I had about 190euros there! As you can imagine I was pretty suspcious about this, as dodgy affiliate managers have been known to de-tag high-value players and transfer them to their own accounts, or 'vanish' them so they can keep the funds the casino group sends over to pay the affiliates with. That one tends to occur when the casino and their affiliate programme are one and the same business.

I got straight on Skype and complained, saying I found it very suspicious. The girl who was my aff manager at the time pleaded ignorance, how hurtful it was of me to suggest such dishonesty on their part etc. etc. So I let it stand without ever getting an explanation.

Roll on to the following month, miraculously I took home 4004 euros, my best ever month and about 5x the average I would make in a month. Almost as if my account had been restored haha.

So to me it was pretty obvious that as the 10AM updates filtered through their bent 'team' was looking out for big players to remove, or any higher-earning accounts across their affiliates in order to skim them. Unluckily for them, one of their affs who was going to be cheated, i.e. me! just happened to log in twice in that short window of time when they were doing it. So they probably decided after my Skype conversation with them to play it safe and refund the theft.

Almsot like tacitly saying, you've caught us, keep quiet and we won't pick on you again. And they didn't as far as I know.
