Short review- I haven’t played the original one but my personal experience with BM2 has been fairly alright. I like the horror theme of course and the fact that free spins can be retriggered.

I got a 486x win in this very comp thanks to that. I hope there’s another sequel in which Gamomat comes up with multiple bonus rounds AND retriggers. Too much to ask for I suppose.

Review of Dead Legion

The colours and graphics make this slot exciting to play. And it was lucky for me, so it lived up to its promise. It's not a grid slot, which is a big plus, as personally I dislike large grid slots.
I don't play much Gamomat usually, but in future I will be playing more of them, mainly because I found the slots fun, not boring like a lot of new slots these days.
In summary, great slot, look forward to playing it again.
 
I will probably enter a 4th screenshot later, but figured i might as well make a short review now while the pain is still fresh.

I have played the first book of madness a bit and compared to that this one feels much more brutal in the basegame. You can (or at least i could) easily go 30-40 spins without much of anything at all happening, which really hurts the balance. Graphics and sounds are ok, but other than that it is just another book game that doesnt really add anything new when compared to the 100s of other book games that are out there.
Im sure its hard to come up with something completely unique when making a book game, but at least try.
My rating may be influenced by how mean the game was to me but i have no other choice than to give it a 4/10*
*rating may change depending on how it treats me when i chase the last screenshot.

Dead Legion is a decent game with the sticky wild mechanic. what makes it kinda special is that there are only 5 paylines. this results in less but bigger wins in basegame. its harder to hit a wildline of course but when you do it pays 500x per spin. would be great if it adds extra spins on hitting a wild on every reel. in the end its a roman legion clone, only difference is that the legionaire is now dead ^^. all in all its a decent slot with with a 0,05€ low betting option.

Book of Madness 2 has really bright colors, with a nurse with a poison syringe,
a mummy, a plague rat and a baby bottle with eyeballs in it. :eek:

The game is a mix between Book of Ra and Legacy of Dead,
but it feels like it is harder to get the bonus.

On the plus side, it feels like the bonuses are better (4-6 so far and all over x80)

Game name: Dead Legion

I like slots with a sticky wild feature and this was no exception. 96.16% RTP is fair and I found the game to be not as volatile as advertised. Or maybe I just got lucky. My personal sample was just too low to make a reasonable assessment on the variance of the slot.

I wished it had more paylines than 5 though. Generally, I find playing 5 payline slots not as fun as slots with say 9-25 paylines since the wins are less frequent on lesser paylines. On the other hand, pays are naturally relatively higher with fewer lines when they hit. So essentially this goes back to the issue of volatility again.

The theme is alright, nothing earth shattering, but it's hard to release a slot these days with a unique theme. And it really doesn't matter that much. But I do like dark themes and this one fits that bill. Simple slot mechanics also beat convoluted ones any day of the week, so that's another plus.

Since I got fairly lucky playing this slot for the first time, I'll probably play it again. I think this was the first time I played a Gamomat slot. And it was a positive experience.

review of Book of Madness II

Having played the previous Book of Madness slot last year, I was pleasantly surprised with how well this game performed for me compared to the previous one. Even though I was playing the lowest RTP version and that is 92.11% the game played better than expected with features occurring frequently on average every 60 spins compared to the previous version where they would only occur once every 342 spins. The game also threw in a little base game win of 20x which shows it can deliver in both the feature and the base to keep you going for a longer session. I would have to say this slot is an improvement on the previous version just from the way it played for me in the sessions that I had on it.

In other areas about the slot the max win is set to 11,800x can't complain about that. Music and sound effects are good and spooky. You can choose to play it in 5 or 10 lines depending on your budget. Something nice that Gamomat has in their slots that many slots these days don't is the gamble feature, ladder or the cards, go with the ladder and play like the Bandit if you want to , where you can turn a very small amount into something decent.

I like the symbols, but it's just like any other book of a game to me. I do like how you can collect more than 1 expanding symbol in the bonus round

I wish you could pick how many lines u wanted instead of only a few.
Been playing for a while now and alot of dead spins and the bonus I have had was meh.
Overall 5/10 but thanks for the comp 10/10 for that :D
 
Gave this a go earlier this evening on book of madness, and played through about 10 quid of 10p spins, my biggest win being 4x. lol

may give it one more try to get a screen or two before it ends on the 5th, but todays experience was quite tough going :laugh: thought i might have just managed a shot at least!

appreciate the comp though :thumbsup:

Well i tried 3 sessions on this (admittedly not very long ones after my first attempt), and still haven't beaten a 4x win, so i have no shots to post! Maybe I was just very unlucky, but im out of funds now and time has almost ran out. maybe I shouldn't have left it too late. :)
