Fun and Games at Nordic Bet

As some may know from past posts, I was playing NetEnt games at Chilicasino. They've switched software providers, so I was looking for a new place to play.

NordicBet has had very favourable feedback here, especially from Rainmaker.

I signed up through the CM link, but SUB was only available to players from their target demographic. When I was first looking to play, I had money on my prepaid, but I'd have to provide scans of everything prior to play. I don't have a scanner at home, so I didn't deposit at that time. I think it shows a lot of integrety to ask for the ID up front. But I was told that I could deposit with Moneybookers, but would need to provide verification for a withdrawal.

A month or so ago, about the same time MB rebranded to Skrill, I tried to deposit to play. No luck, but this was a problem I encountered at casinos I was a long standing customer, but not all of them.

I've recently scanned everything for another casino, and a few bucks in MB, I thought I'd try again. Support was professional in all my previous discussions.

Deposit went in fine. I hit a good win in the first few minutes of play, but I don't really come in to play for 4 minutes. Blew it back in the next 10. Made another deposit.

Got up just over even, but had problems with switching games. Contacted support, and got a lovely rep, Mikael, more than once. Uploaded all my docs, and although not yet verified, they were received. My game switching probelm and uploading docs all got very professional support.

Fully intended to cash out at $30 down on two $40 deposits, just to see how cashout goes. Jackhammer almost kept me from that goal, but I got a couple of comebacks, without a bonus round.

Love devil's delight and lucky 8 line and beetle frenzy. From a peak of about 190, I did make a cashout of $150.

When I cashed out, only one free cashout is allowed every four weeks, and that is with Moneybookers.

I really expect everything to go smoothly, but I don't think I'll be a loyal player. I want to cashout more often than once ever four weeks, Moneybooker fees are low for merchants.

I don't see once a week as unreasonable, but without any bonuses ever or the free spins or other promotions, I just don't think it's right for me.

I am impressed with the support, and I think for those players in their target markets it's probably an excellent choice.

I'll update when payment is made, and I could use suggestions for a NetEnt casino that is more welcoming to Canadian players.

BTW, loyalty seems good. I think I can now redeem $5 for my evening's play. I'll have to further read terms if there are restrictions on it. Other than not requesting a fee free withdrawal in the next four weeks.

I think I'm really not the customer they want. Nothing really wrong with targeting a niche.

When you play Devil's Delight, do you always keep going until you get the "Sin Spins"?

Personally I think this type of slot is a bit of a con and the one thing I really don't like about Net Ent software;
Your "Souls" are only saved for 48 hours - so if you run out of funds or time to play and can't deposit or play again for more than 2 days, all your collected symbols are lost. :(
It's the same on Relic Raiders, except they're only saved for 36 hours! (Maybe on some others too? I haven't payed ALL their slots).

This seems GROSSLY unfair to me and also worries me that losing your collected symbols MUST lower the RTP of the slot.
OK - I know it is stated in the paytable - but even so...

At least with the new Robin Hood slot your cash-bags are saved for a whole year!

Hello Jasminebed :)

I think you wrote a fair and square review based on your first experience with Nordicbet. Good post

I think that their SUB bonus is only available for customers residing in the following countries: Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Faro Island, Iceland, New Zealand and Australia (from SUB T&C). But Canadians are, as I see it, eligible for bonusese and free spins that may be offered later. Maybe their rep here could clarify this.

From their general T&C:

All bonuses expire 30 days after being claimed unless otherwise specified.

Players from the following countries will not be eligible to receive bonuses unless otherwise specified: United Kingdom, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, Greece, Japan, Romania, Malaysia, Philippines, Cyprus, China, Portugal, Hungary, Argentina and Czech Republic.
[/I]

As for loyalty, there are no restrictions on your Frequent Player Points to my knowledge.

Payment already received! That's a big plus in my book.

I also received a very nice reply from their rep, and he has been quick to answer in other threads, that's always a good sign for me.

I hope he posts in the thread to clarify some points, especially regarding the SUB for CM members.

Thanks KK for the heads up about Devil's Delight. I usually only play games like that when I have a balance to complete the feature, but a bad run can definitely happen.

I don't always read paytables before playing, I like a bit of a surprise. Losing my accumulated spins would not be the kind of surprise I like.

At least with the RTG Feature Guarantee games, a pop-up screen comes up to tell you that spins will be lost and you must take the try for feature before your balance falls below 10cents or $1.00, it varies from casino to casino it seems.

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the delay in reply.

First things first the terms and conditions for the Casinomeister exclusive signup bonus have been made clearer with the excluded countries clearly defined. Sorry for any hassles that this has caused.

Next case is the fees, I hate fees especially for transactions but somethings I cannot change at NordicBet. What I did manage is that if you PM me your username after you have requested your withdrawal I will credit the fee charged back to your account in cash. I wish there was a way to make this so it was automated for everyone here but that is not possible and this is the best that I can do.

Great comment about Devil's Delight Kasino King! I suggested to Netent that they should change this to a year and as with Nordicbet there are some things that I can't change at Netent. I have however strongly suggested that they make the 48 term more clear on the payout page of the game and ideally put this somewhere on the game interface as I do no think this is clear enough for the player. I remember my first experience with an i-slot was the Great Galaxy Grab, anyone still play that game?

Thank you all for your feedback about the site. Please keep your comments coming as I do listen and will try everything that I can to make sure NordicBet provides the best casino experience.

Thanks again,

Ben

When you are playing a RTG Feature Guarantee, there's a big screen comes up the first time that you lose your accumulated spins if your balance falls below a certain amount. You can choose to not have this shown again.

If you choose to leave the game without taking the instant trigger chance you will get a pop-up reminding you of this.

Something similar would be good.

Well, thanks to the rep's kind offer of re-imbursing fees, and a deposit bonus offer to make up for the error in not permitting me the SUB, and all the fun I did have the other night, I went ahead and made another deposit.

I received a request for some additional info from security, which I've now provided. Thank you for processing my first cashout without it, when I had provided what the rep told me I would need.

I had something entirely new at any online casino happen tonight.

A pop=up of a "gentle reminder" when playing that I had been playing for an hour, and that I was up $108 dollars.

I'm not really up it yet, I still have wagering on a bonus, but I thought that was a nice touch.

Back to Devil's Delight after this Public Service Announcement.

I may have found my new NetEnt casino

I must say that I am impressed about how fast these Nordicbet guys are. We had an issue in another thread where a couple of members had problems finding a download link to Nordicbet`s downlodable casino. It only took Nordicbet a few hours before they had added a new link on their main site. And again, it only took some hours for them to change their T&C for the bonus link offered on Casinomeister. Their rep`s offer regarding withdrawal fees is also a very nice gesture

So if I have understood it correctly, everyone who signs up at Nordicbet by using the Casinomeister link is entitled to a 150% bonus up to €300 except players residing in:

Netherlands Antilles, Argentina, Belgium, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Greece, Hungary, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Turkey and United States.

I can also mention that players from Poland are excluded from this offer, but they can claim an ordinary 100% bonus at Tobet.com which is a sister site of Nordicbet.

I personally have no problems with dep/withdrawal fees. I think that especially Scandinavians are quite used to it with larger casinos like Betsafe, Betsson, Nordicbet, Unibet etc.

Yeah Jasminebed, that gentle reminder (pop up) is used by responsible Net Entertainment based casinos. It will occasionally tell you whether you have lost or won during your play (if you play for a longer time). It is a part of Net Entertainments responsible gaming policy :)

One other warning for new players.... If you choose full screen mode after you've already started playing a game, your bet will default to the default again.

Cost me $10 when my balance was $40 the other night, my own fault for not confirming my bet before spin. Bugger is, I noticed after one spin, lowered my bet down to what I was playing, and then hit the bonus round very next spin. Well, a $12 win took the sting out it.

Yes, I think this will happen in most Net Entertainment based casinos. So players should always check their bet after resizing their game window (at least if you go to full screen mode).

The default setting is usually from EUR 1-5 or something. For example Piggy Riches 1,5 , Mega Fortune 5,0 , Dead or Alive 0,9 , Funky 70s 4,0 etc. Some may be higher or lower.

The default setting level is the same in most of the casinos. It is set by Net Entertainment and can not be changed by the casino to my knowledge. Those who followed the MrGreen baptism by Fire thread may remember that they had a major coin value error/incorrect setting in their Mega Fortune game (which affected the default setting). They had to report the problem to Net Entertainment to get it fixed.

Personally I think excluding players form the UK is plain silly, nothing but nothing less, just plain silly bordering on the stupid. I fancied giving NetEnt a go to see what all the hype is. I was going to choose NordicBet but then saw the UK was excluded (what aernt we good enough?) so dropped them like a hot cake and signed up with MrGreen instead lol Way to go Nordic your loss

Good luck with your play on Net Entertainment games. Hope it will be a good experience

As for Nordicbet, they do not exclude players from UK. But players from UK are not entitled to their welcome bonus.

Same difference to me. If im not good enough for their welcome bonus their sure as hell not good enough to receive my money. And thanks so far im enjoying NetEnt, makes a nice change from RTG and MG :)

Yeah, I can understand that you don`t feel so "welcomed" when you are excluded from their welcome bonus. And I know that this bonus is important for many players.

I am not so concerned about sign up bonuses personally. I think that loyalty promotions etc is more important. Nordicbet may not be the king of bonuses, but they usually have many other good promotions (free spins, tournaments and promotions where you can win other things for example a cruise holiday). For example, my Nordicbet account was credited with 500 free spins on Gonzos Quest the other day as a part of one of their latest promotions where players were awarded free spins based on how many frequent player points they had earned within a certain time frame. And those 500 free spins were worth about EUR100, so I thought it was a good promotion. NetEnt casinos in general do not offer so many deposit bonuses. This may seem a bit strange for those who are used to Microgaming based casinos. But bonuses in general are usually no advantage for the player anyway, so I think it is a good practice to focus on other things.

Nice to see that you are enjoying NetEnt games so far. One of the things that makes NetEnt so great in my opinion, is their integrated high pay-out strategy (high RTP). They believe that high RTP will create the best relationship between the player and the casino. For both parties.

Anyway, hope you will hit something big

Well, it was incorrect information that Canadian players were not entitled to the SUB, and the rep made sure I had an opportunity to claim a match bonus, and website info has been updated I'm told.

I did receive an offer of a few free spins on Piggy Riches the other day, so I logged in a played for a bit.

I'll be back to deposit yet again.

I closed my account at Nordicbet because I am charged 2% PER Deposit with a Credit Card. Never had any hassles with them, but ME needing to fit the bill to play there isn't exactly customer friendly.

I deposited last night, played for a long time, until I was drunk and ready for bed. My housemate sat in and watched, like me really enjoyed Devil's Delight. She loved the graphics on Frankenstein, but since I wasn't having much luck, I didn't play it for long. Shot the Nordic Bet rep a pm about the withdrawal fee. True to his word, he's already credited my account with this sum.

The 2,5% credit card fee on deposits is generally quite normal in Net Entertainment based casinos. You will find the same 2,5% practice at for example MrGreen, Unibet, Betsson and Betsafe. But it is understandable that some players will find this unattractive.

Iam just wondering how long a withdrawal from nordic bet takes,I just thought I would give my experience here.

I made my first withdrawal on 25th and again on 28th October for around 300 euros total,I could see in "my account" that the two withdrawals were pending no documents had been asked for.So i kept on playing, depositing daily and losing for the next few days and noticed my previous withdrawals were still pending on the 31st October.

I contacted support and asked them what was happening and they said they would email there finance department and I would recieve an email the next day.I never did.I logged into my account again and was asked immediately to upload my i.d documents.(why do casinos ask for a copy of your debit card, especially when I am enrolled in the verified by visa security scheme!).

I uploaded my documents and that was the 1st November,I had an email on 2nd Nov that my documents had been accepted but my withdrawals were still pending the next day. So again I asked support why they were pending and again said they would email there finance department then me within 24 hrs, which I never got and yesterday my withdrawals had been finally been accepted.

So my first withdrawal should reach me two weeks after I made it!, I understand that there is requirements for i.d but I shouldnt have to go chasing things up after 6 days not once but twice to get my withdrawal finally approved. All this could have been done over a few days if there was better communication.

But apart from that I actually like nordic bet and Iam a big fan of there download casino it makes a big difference not having to wait on games downloading all the time.

Thanks - I wasn't aware this is almost 'standard' at NetEnt Casinos. I just don't feel players should be punished for supporting a platform. If you are going to charge me to play and If lose... I lose a 102.5% every time. I already get less than my cashout amount due to currency conversion - I deposit more than I actually want to and cash out less than what I actually cashed out.

This fee will over time accumulate if you deposit in the thousands every month.

In any event, I just think it is something they should review.

Greigssy :)

Nice to see that you like Nordicbet. I am also a fan of their downloadable casino :)

As for withdrawal. I only use my credit card for deposits and therefore need to withdraw directly to my bank account. It will take about 2-3 days before the withdrawal is in my bank account after the payout has been accepted by Nordicbet. 2-3 days is completely normal for international bank transfers. I have read on this forum that Nordicbet has a tendency to pay out quickly to e-wallets as well, often within a few hours. My own payouts has always been accepted quickly.

So yes, it was a bit strange to see that you had to wait for days to have the payout accepted. I am pretty sure that this is much longer than their ordinary practice. Maybe you should contact their rep on this forum and ask him to review your account. I am sure that he will be able to explain what has happened.
