Hi Folks:

I was fortunate enough to attend the G2E show in Las Vegas. I took hundreds of pictures of new machines on the floor from IGT, Bally, Aruze, Spielo, Aristocrat, Konami and WMS Games ... along with a few others.

If you are interested in reading about the new slot machines which are likely to hit casinos floors in North America, some time this year, I have a full writeup with pictures on Playerslife.com.

Let me know what you think of the reports.

As interesting as this material may be, do you not think you are pushing the envelope by advertising it here without first checking with the owner/webmaster?

That could be construed as directing players away from this site to your own, or spamming imo.

Not sure ...

Hi Jetset:

I definitely do not want to break the rules on the board. It is just a normal site with an article I personally wrote regarding the G2E gaming show. There is nothing for sale, and no gambling there. I expect the conversation, if any, will be on this website.

I am not a webmaster, just a moderator on the site.

If this type of posting is not permitted, I understand it will be removed.

Nevertheless, you are inviting players to leave this site to go to the one on which you moderate. To do so without first having the courtesy to consult Casinomeister is imo wrong.

Hi jetset:

I didn't even provide a link to the site, or the article in question. Isn't it like saying -- if you want information on Payback Percentages in Las Vegas, I would recommend "Strictly Slots" magazine?

I would have no qualms about referencing this site as a good place for online gaming.

PS - The G2E coverage is in the TRIP REPORTS section. Nobody needs an ID to read it. If you check it out -- let me know what you think!

I'm done with perpetuating this rather crude attempt at achieving publicity and attracting traffic. IMO this remains a wilful abuse of Casinomeister hospitality.

Please delete my thread

Hi Jetset:

Please have my thread deleted. I thought this discussion would add value here in your "North American Land Based Casinos" section.

I don't think I have the ability to delete these myself.

Sorry for wasting your time on this.

I've seen the same user spam this on other sites as well. He nonchalantly tries to push traffic over to a site where he is paid to get users signed up etc.

The Shamus if you really wanted to generate talk why not just post the trip report here. This thread should be deleted if you are unwilling to do that.

Hi bowlingbob:

Tough crowd. Player's Life sent me to the G2E to report on the show. I was there as a writer for the website. The only other site I have linked from is Slot Machines Forum, where I am also the moderator.

Is the G2E not a news story? I was acting in the capacity of writer. I am here to discuss the show, answer questions ... talk slots ... etc.

I think that is different than SPAMMING? Apparently, nobody is interested in discussing it ... and that's okay ... however, there is no need for the hostility.

Their point is simple; if you read the TOS here and whatnot, u would see that once you become an active and contributing member here, then you can use a signature with a link in it. (I think at like 50 or 100 posts)

Until then, ur suggestions, esp. with this obvious of a tone, and this forward of a solicitation as in the OP, and with this group of loyals, will mos def. be construed as beguiling, even well thought out, spamming.

Does anyone want to talk about new slot machines?

Hi 3mptyseat:

Very well.

Is there anyone in the Land Based Casino area who is interested in talking about the new slot machines that are likely to show up in your local North American casinos over the next year.

This was really the conversation I was hoping to generate.

I would love to hear about some new IGT slots? Any thing like Pharoahs Fortune or Wolf Run? Dem my favorites. I also like the Unicorn one... And the 3 reel with the American flags, like that one too. You know, stuff with real high variance.

Hi 3mptyseat:

IGT had a lot of success with Sex and the City ... and they decided to launch Wolf Run, Cleopatra and Golden Eagle in their Multi-Play series. This is 4 sets of reels on the screen at once.

The next step for IGT is to expand the Multi-Play concept to "Pays 10x", "Lucky Larry's Lobstermania" and "Stinkin Rich". They are also offering these 4 reel versions as low as a 40-cent bet (for all 4 reels).

I didn't see anything new on "Pharoah's Fortunes".

Hi Cindy:

I've apologized, asked for the post to be deleted, explained myself ...

Would the appropriate process be to post the article here with credit to originating website?

I just was walking around the silver legacy in Reno and I found a 243 ways to win new version of pharaohs fortune. I tried to take pics but the floor man stopped me. Besides the 25 coin fixed structure there us a bet multiplier up to 25 x and the pharaohs head icon, the scatter, lands on all reels. Get 3 and u get 10 free spins and I imagine 4 or 5 and u get more. Needless to say I had no idea it existed but it's awesome

Hi 3mptyseat:

That's interesting ... they did this with MONEY STORM a few years back -- so it makes sense for them to convert a successful game into multiple formats.

It surprises me how seemingly unsuccessful IGT has been on leveraging some of the their popular properties from the past. Shouldn't TEXAS TED have some really cool game by now? How about the ENCHANTED UNICORN -- that seems like a natural fit for a 243-ways game! What about "Neon Nights" or "My Rich Uncle"

GC2 (Gaming Circle 2) used to make some of their most unique games ... like Pharaoh's Fortunes, or Wild Taxi -- but now, they seem to just be absorbed into IGT without special acknowlegement. Their stamp on a game made it more likely for me to play.

Now, IGT outsources many of their games to HIGH 5 games (I dare not link their site ... haha). They have some very successful games ... plenty of clones ... and plenty of duds. In general, their games are not that complex, but notmally have 1 novel element (eg. one unique bonus round).

IGT - recent releases

Hi Folks:

I posted a link to my YOU TUBE channel in the appropriate section. I just got back from Las Vegas and have posted about 16 videos ... 8 of them compilations of photos and video I took of my bonus rounds.

As far as IGT goes ... it seems that half of their regular games are developed by HIGH 5 GAMES (makers of games such as DUCKS IN A ROW, WHITE ORCHID, CATS, HOOT LOOT)and plenty more. I have video of their newest games including "The Count of Monte Cristo" and "Black Widow".

Also ... I have video of LUCKY LARRY'S LOBSERMANIA 2 ... OLD MONEY, and plenty more. You might see some games that look interesting next time you are in a land-based casino.

Oh ... my best hit was on "Attack From Mars" -- if you want to see a fun bonus, that one is highly recommended.
