We had almost gotten rid of all our snow, and this morning I looked out the window to see this! I guess it started about 4am, and it's supposed to be done by noon. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 10C.

The snow was so wet and heavy that it's pulling down power lines all over the city, our phone and cable lines were almost touching the ground!

This is out front - check how the snow just flattened the hedge before ray got out there and knocked it off.

But it's kind of pretty too - here's the neighbor's tree

And my poor lilac tree (out the window) just before I sent Ray out to knock some of the snow off before it broke.

So anyone who wants and snow, come and get it!

Ahhh chayton??? I'm really sorry you have snow in April.... We're not exactly "warm", but the robins are hopping around the backyard, the grass is starting to turn from that yucky brown to green and there have been daffodils and tulips blossoming already here. So, if you could please NOT send the snow south I would really appreciate it! :D

Dang son! Pretty pics though

The weather in london last week was really nice - it suddenly turned sunny and warm, which became sunny and a bit cold (but still nice!), which is now turning into into just cold. In fact the wife has demanded I slave away over a stew all afternoon, so it must be cold outside. :p

omg... we're still hitting 85+ degrees (F) everyday. We were sweating like pigs having a cuppa out on the patio last evening. Had to surrender and come in as the mosquitoes were ganging up in preparation to drag us away to feed the rest of their clan.

Thanks for sharing

It is actually quite sunny and warm in Norway these days. No snow, I guess you took it all :p

It's actually still snowing here - it's those huge fluffy flakes about the size of pingpong balls, and it's pretty well filled up everywhere Ray shovelled this morning already! It's a lot all at once, but it's not cold at all, it's really quite nice out. I keep hearing sirens as the emergency crews are heading out so the streets must be pretty slippery, and with some of the power lines down I'm sure some of the traffic lights are out too.

Anyhow this will hopefully be the last snow we'll get this year. But who knows, we've had snow on the May long weekend several times - and once when I was in Phoenix, Ray wrote me that they had snow in August. But at least I know spring is around the corner - snow like this is depressing when you know you've got 4 or 5 or 6 months more to deal with - this should be gone next week, so I don't mind.

hmmm...tried to watch and it says it's only available to people in the UK.

Didn't know that, sorry. All it was about was the increasing weirdness of weather around the globe, caused by the fast rising global temperature whether man made or not, is causing new hot and cold spots in areas of the globe.

Like North America and Europe may become very cold in 20 years time due to the warm waters of the Gulf stream changing course from the effects of the Arctic melting faster every year as the mean temperature of the atmosphere heats up. Also they are seeing record breaking droughts and flooding and the power of hurricanes is predicted to increase from a maximum of 200 mph to 250, and more stuff like that. In all, the weather is getting weirder and less predictable.

They have this commercial here that they run in the springtime...people walking outside and looking in horror up at the sky, then the text comes up saying "Don't be afraid, it's just the sun."

 Until you live in a place where winter lasts forever, you just don't get it.

That ad would work in Scotland:D

Especially in the west;)
