Hi everyone..

Just a quick thought I had for the reps and software people...

Are there any plans or has anyone thought of integrating facebook into online slots?
When you play an app on facebook and many games not on facebook(even cm you can share on facebook via a facebook button!) You get a little button that you can share a picture or screenshot of what you have achieved and post it to your timeline on facebook! It could be integrated into the user interface on the online slot software.

Imagine you are playing an online slot and hit a monster win... On the slot is a facebook(or share button to share via different social media... Facebook, instagram, twitter, etc..) you just push the button and post the pic to your wall or timeline or whatever it may be with a comment, etc...

That would be awesome!! :D

It would provide benefits for casino and customer too. It would allow me to show off my screenie to friends, etc.. easily and in realtime and would also be free advertising for the casinos as well as there would be screenshots all over facebook and other social media as players play their slots and post wins as soon as they happen and for the world to see...
Ie... "such and such just won 500 credits playing xyz slot at such and such casino". There could also be a hyperlink at the bottom prompting people seeing the status update to join such and such casino. If the casino attaches a bonus chip or a special deposit bonus for people joining from your link in facebook etc,(kinda like refer a friend and receive $20 or a 100% deposit bonus, or something similar) then they would get more signups with less affiliate commissions to pay. It could be just a standard policy that for every signup of a depositing player that joins via one of your facebook posts you receive a freebie or deposit bonus, etc...

I just see it as a win win for all involved as the player can share their wins and have a chance at earning speciall bonuses and the casino gets maximum exposure! I am surprised no one has thought of it before! The idea just struck me now as I was laying in bed using facebook on my phone!

What do you guys think?

Cheers

Hey Gremmy mate,

I know that 3Dice had a feature to share screenshots on to Facebook but I do not think it took off as well as expected as I cannot seem to find it now or maybe I am looking in the wrong spot maybe Enzo could let us know?

The problem with something like this is most gamblers are anonymous (don't mean the pun). What I mean by this is a lot of gamblers do not like other people knowing they even gamble, let alone how much they gamble or how much they have won or lost.

Even if you look at cm's screenshot section I would estimate only about 30% of the posters here show there wins.

Thanks for that response matt.
I never thought about the.anonymity as its never been a issue for me!
What's there to hide anyway??
Not a fan of the seedy undertones surrounding gambling at all!
I Don't feel ashamed if I go to the pub and have a beer or two so why feel ashamed to gamble?
My wife knows I do it and I have a set budget I can use each week and she has the same amount to blow on clothes etc.. coz she's not a gambler!

In my personal opinion if you are feeling ashamed and hide the fact that you gamble then you obviously shouldn't be doing it!

It's just a bit of fun!

...not intended as a dig at anyone at all just trying to apply my logic to it so I can understand why one would be ashamed to gambled or hide it!

We did one for our sportsbetting and Twitter.
I say we did one, I saw it somewhere else and decided to "pay homage" to their idea.
I like the Facebook idea though!

Hey Bob, heard you hit it big... can you lend me $20?

Here at CM, winner's screenshots, we know mostly we have paid for them, or will.

But non-gambling members of our life may see a win and assume we kept it all, or stopped gambling after being so lucky. Or maybe think you should do certain things with your money, when as gamblers part of it at least is recycled.

A lot of potential employers look facebook too I have heard.

I participated recently in a facebook competition run by Redbet (thanks, I did okay), but a real life friend was over last night and commented WTG. As part of the contest I had to post certain winning screenshots, a few cost me more than the shot. I was overjoyed at winning my first sports bet online though.

For casinos running facebook competitions, it might be handy to have a facebook button to avoid uploading.

I'm single, my parents are dead, and my kid already knew I'd won some and had a little gift, and it wasn't a problem for me. But I could see where it might be for some people.

I'm not very facebook savvy either to be honest, it's not that important to me to learn.

Thanks for that Jas! :D
I can see your point that it could potentially create problems for some people and could lead to friends you hardly know calling up for a slice of the win! It had never occurred to me that that could potentially happen!

Thanks for your comments!
