What it all boils down to is that Dream Poker will take your money if you're from the USA, but they currently have NO OPTIONS TO WITHDRAW AT THIS TIME. WTF? They'll be happy to take your deposits, but FU if you want to get paid. I'm glad I have a zero balance there. Notice how long he avoids my question of whether or not they have any withdraw options for USA players, nor did he answer my question about why Dream's USA customers were never notified. On top of this, they have NO ETA on when ANY withdraw options will be made available.

Your chat session has started..
Ken: Welcome to DreamPoker support
Brian: Hello, can you please tell me what withdraw options are now available for USA players?
Ken: how may i assist you
Brian: I was told today that ACH withdraws as well as check withdraws are now gone
Ken: we are still awaiting feed back from our Finance Divisions Brian
Brian: How come players weren't notified?
Brian: I had to find out by word of mouth
Ken: Brian one moment please?
Brian: But anyways, there's no current options for USA players to get any money?
Ken: no Brian
Brian: ok
Brian: any = their

5 minutes later:
Ken: will that be all that i can assist you with?
Brian: uhm
Brian: I thought you were checking into something
Brian: So what withdraw options are available for USA customers? If you don't know, how long will it be?
Ken: we are still awaiting feed back from our Finance Divisions Brian

Brian: Is there any ETA?
Brian: Because basically right now, all other options aren't available to withdraw
Ken: Brian as i told you our Finance Department is looking at Alternative methods
Ken: but at this time there is not one
Brian: ok, I just wish you guys would have let us players know what was going on, and even suspend deposits by USA players
Brian: because it really doesn't look good if you keep taking deposits from players that cannot retrieve their money for some time, if at all
Brian: I know it's not your fault, but please pass that on to the powers that be
Brian: have a good one.

Hi WinBig,

I do apologise for the lack of communication regarding player cash out options
We have been placed in a very akward position with nearly every available
online wallet pulling out of the United States.

DreamPoker would like assure you that we do intend on paying out all US
based players that have a positive balance, the moment our cash processing
merchant has located an online web wallet that is perpared to operate in the
United States.

Our guarentee to you is that all US players will be paid, we do ask you to bear
with us for just a short while longer, this issue is not a easy to try and
overcome, the US goverment has placed both the player and poker rooms in
a very difficult position and we will find a way through this is only a matter
of time, which should not take much longer than it already has to reach fruition.

Thanks Conrad

Such a straight forward honest reply!

One thing we all have to admire is that support consultants are currently going through a tough time. Handling these situations must be highly stressful on them. Exactly how much info should they give to the player in order to handle the situation instead of causing it. I must add winbig you treated him with decency and patience, probably knowing very well that the objective is to get them to publicly make a statement?

I am most confident that someone will get something sorted on the payment methods side, but I hope it will happen sooner than later.

The only real beef I have with Dream is the fact that they didn't even notify USA players of what was going on with their processor. Even if they had little or no notice, that doesn't excuse not even notifying them after the fact.

I'm one of the lucky ones that didn't have money tied up, but I feel sorry for those that tried to withdraw after the ACH/Check deadline and found out they're going to have to wait indefinitely to get their money.

I'm just glad I'm a member here to know what's going on. I knew better than to deposit any more money until getting a definite answer about withdraw options there.

A quick blanket email could have prevented all of this...

I fully agree! I have seen in some cases operators fear sending out emails to their players to keep them informed out of fear for causing panic or because they assumed that everyone knows. But I am not good at reading minds... any case it is purely a case of what I have experienced in the past was people rather avoiding an issue than to handle it pro actively.

Thanks ~!! I knew I could trust the word I was given. I am sure you will all do the utmost best to accomodate the Americans as well as take care of the others. Dreampoker, I am sure wants to keep their good reputation therefore pulling out all stops to make their players happy.
Thanks again for making an appearance to respond, ( which is more than many others ) this makes Dreampoker ( in my book ) the place to play.
When a site takes their time to respond................. WE MATTER ~
PS.. In the future, keep us well informed ahead of time via emails or whatever means you choose. ;)

I BEEN THERE

I'd really like to know how they're going to get money to their US customers. There isn't a bank in the world that will send out a check or send a wire transfer originating from a casino / poker room right now. I sure hope they're not planning to wait until this settles down a bit.

I'll make a guarantee myself. They won't see another penny from me until they have a withdraw method for US players in place. For them to continue to accept deposits from USA players without notifying them that they have no means to withdraw any winnings for an unknown timeframe is still unacceptable.

I won't post the email I received from my contact at Dream, but I will quote a sentence from it:

Please be advised that we are currently working on a legal withdrawal method for US players but at the moment it is not looking good.

I respect their contact coming to the board and posting, and I understand they're doing the best they can; but for the moment all it is is lip service. Let's be realistic here. How do they plan on getting USA players their money? Tape the bills to a courier pigeon? :)

Conrad: Please answer this one...

Bodog sent me a Western Union transfer of $1,000 within a matter of hours after my WD request. Why can't Dream use this method? I believe other poker rooms offer this service as well.

I just find it hard to understand that Dream can be this worried about the UIGEA while other Poker rooms and casinos aren't. It's business as usual for Full Tilt, Bodog, Poker Stars, etc, etc. If you're that afraid of the DoJ, then just drop us USA players altogether and save everyone the hassel.

Recieved in my mail last night at 7:19 EST. Let's hope it is true. If you have funds there, give it a whirl. I agree though with winbig, too scary to deposit if no guarantees to receive a cashout. I am concerned for ALL players ( especially USA players ) at this time when it comes to their money ~! I will keep you updated if I hear anything new.

Hi XXXXXXXX,

I have a quick update for you and all US players. ACH is currently available to all US player as a withdrawal method, so should anyone need to to make a withdrawal, they can go ahead.

All US players? Where? I haven't received any information. It's wild how they are picking and choosing who they update on this issue.

Too bad too. I've been a loyal customer of theirs for quite a long time now. Such a shame.

Conrad, is there any official feedback you can give us?

Just for #$@#$ and giggles, I decided to take a look at Dream's banking page. The following is current as of 2/17/07.

Please tell me where it warns USA players that they cannot cash out via check....or any other method at this time......Heck, there's not even a mention of Neteller not being available for USA residents.

I just lost the last of the respect I had for Dream. Again, it's such a shame for a great room to not be on top of the biggest issue to EVER hit online gaming.

If, in fact, ACH withdraws are again open to USA players, please disregard, and forgive me for this post - but how am I supposed to know? Dream is continuing to NOT inform all of their USA players. A good % of us are left in the dark about everything.

How to Cash In

This is how to cash in a positive balance on your DreamPoker account:

1. Open the DreamPoker software
2. Click on ‘Connect’ (make sure you are connected to the Internet)
3. Click on the ‘Bank’ button
4. Click on the ‘Cash-in’ tab at the top of the screen
5. Enter the amount you wish to cash in and click on the ‘Cash-In’ button
6. The next screen will confirm the details of the cash-in

DreamPoker offers you the following options for cashing in:

1. NETeller
2. FirePay
3. Click2Pay
4. Check
5. ACH Transfer

Disclaimer: We always aim to pay your cash-in using your preferred method of payment - please note however that we reserve the right to pay your winnings via the most viable option, in some cases this is a check.

Cash-ins are usually refunded in the following manner:
The portion of the cash-in less than or equal to the original purchase amount will always be refunded to the original purchase mechanism e.g. Neteller, FirePay, etc.

After that, any additional balance owing to you will be paid out as listed in our preferred method of payment.

You don’t have to cash in your winnings at the end of each session. You can leave your DreamPoker account with a positive balance, which will automatically be saved in the system and made available to you the next time you log on and play DreamPoker.

If you request a cash-in, but change your mind and wish to continue playing, you may reverse a cash-in for up to 12 hours after requesting it.

Reversing a Cash-In
If you request a cash-in, but change your mind within the 12-hour pending period, you can always go back and continue playing with your credits. All you need to do is reverse the cash-in within the 12-hour period.

This option is available to USA residents only, and the player requesting the winnings must be a signatory to the account in order to use this method.

Now they won't even give me a straight "Yes/No" answer to my question on whether or not there are any WD options for USA players.

First reply from Dream: (Notice the "is often available" )

You can try using ACH as a withdrawal method because that is the only option that is often available for the US players.

My reply:

The last I heard was ACH was not an option. Is this a new development?

The reasons I am asking is the fact that I won't deposit anything until I know for a fact that players from the USA can get their money out when needed.

Their reply: (How can you dodge the question better than this? And why are their "techs" working on the issue? Shouldn't the finance dept. and/or big wigs be working on a solution?)
Thank you for contacting DreamPoker Support.

Please note ever since the new gaming laws have been passed in the USA, that has in return affected the rest of USA in terms of participating, depositing and playing on Most online gaming sites.

At the current moment, deposits and withdrawals are not at their best, as a result our technicians are working on a way to assist the situation further by searching for an easier way to deposit and cashout. As soon as something has come up, I am sure all the necessary players will be informed.

If there is any further requirement you may need, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.

Kindest regards,
