I was playing lots of Jacks and Better today in Playtech Casinos. After loosing money constantly in doubling, i was writing down what i did. It came out, that I had 77 losses to 49 winnings (then all my money was gone). The most winnings, I had in a row was 4 (once!). The most losses in a row was 7 (once), 6 (once), 5 (5 times).
Shouldn't the chance be 1:1 ?
I know, that these games are to few to say if the game is fair or not, but I think I've done a 300 games before and it was more or less the same. Has anyone made the same experiences?
Thanks

Abend!

well, thats exactely what gambling is all about - variance.
Even if the doubling option was manipulated somehow so that there was a slight house edge the result wouldnt look like that.

You should play a couple of thousand hands and then analyse your results.
What youre doing is basically saying "hey, I lost 4 hands BJ in a row so the house edge is 100%" ;-D

gute n8t !

Doubling on playtech's VP is the one of the best bet you can get. When I play their VP, most of my money were actually put on this "side game".
There is no house edge, yet you get 0.1% of your wager back.
Here are some numbers of the doubling game:
house edge: 0%
cash back: 0.1%
chance of win/loose: 47.05%
chance of tie: 5.9%
STD of this game: 0.97
I have placed thousands of bet on this game, I don't see anything unusual. Too bad I count the bet along with the actual bet on JoB so I don't have the actual payout for this side game. I have won more than 10 times in a roll. Usually I set a doubling maximum, if I won more than that I'll only double half of it. Don't get greedy, and you will do well. :)
This weekend I am going to place more than 20k bet on this game. I won't bet unless I feel its outcome is fair.
