It's live at Vera&John. Seems to be quite similar to Raging Rhino but with only five reels and you can get a full screen of top symbols. So very high variance I'd reckon. Can't be worse than the latest WMS releases for sure

That's the screenshot used on their product page as well (Outdated URL (Invalid))

Let's hope that SG/WMS don't start a trend where desktop and mobile games have the same GUI. They've already done it for Monopoly Big Event, so who knows..

It works fine for mobile, but it's just not how I want to see the desktop games, this is far far behind other WMS GUI's

Crossing my fingers for this being an mistake, but I don't think so :(

A Poor Man's Raping Rhino - dunover's video review.

POOR! WMS, really poor.

P.S. Cannot be played in IE at present, OK on mobiles or if you have the Chrome browser.

i can understand them releasing in html5 rather than flash but if when you hit the free spins round on desktop and it says "touch the screen to start" somethings not right :)

There mobile versions aren't brilliantly designed either, with autospin on slots like montezuma and raging raging cover the reels since the buttons are so huge :/

Here's something really strange for those who like that kind of stuff...

Aristocrat (which is WMS's #1 rival in B&M casinos) released a slot many years ago called Buffalo. It's extremely similar to this new "Double Buffalo Spirit" slot.

Same bonus structure, same retriggers, same x2 and x3 during freespins, etc.
Here's how it looks like:

Meanwhile WMS released a slot called Buffalo Spirit, it's a "Replicating Wild" slot and has absolutely nothing to do with the new Double Buffalo Spirit except for the name.

A few years later, WMS decided to release Raging Rhino, which was basically an "enhanced" version of the highly popular Buffalo slot by Aristocrat.

And now they release this? What they did here is they downgraded Raging Rhino so it can be even more similar to the Aristocrat game, and then they borrowed the name of one of their other slot (only added a meaningless "double" in front) and all that just to make sure that not only their game will be a ripoff of Aristocrat's Buffalo, but it will also have the Buffalo theme and Buffalo in the name.

WTF WMS? I like your games but you can do better than this.

Seems lot of the software providers has gone really lazy just to try earn some easy bucks and pay less for design and programming is my guess. That goes to WMS and Microgaming.

Only wanna praise the other providers Net Entertainment for keep trying something new and not really "Steal" from others or older slots. If you look at their slots they are almost most of them unique meaning standing out. There might be a lot crying out they never pay out or Net Ent fixed their slots. But again all slots are fixed RTP and they payout exactly as microgaming or wms would do in overall.

Also Play'N'Go, Thunderkick and some others deserves some credit and even Aristocat for trying something different and unique at least.

But yeah to finish off shame on WMS for this stunt. I hope no one will ever touch that slot. I for one will not and never play one single spins on Buffalo Double Spirit that's a promise

By the way Dunover thanks for another brilliant slot review. I will be in contact soon to see if I can persuade you to do Slots Reviews on my new UK website :p

Alas my acidic review services have already been snapped up by someone else on an exclusive basis, but thanks for the consideration!
You'll like my typed review when it's up in the near future, it basically concludes that this game is a pointless release and not up to the old standard of WMS who since their link-up with SG have turned to rat-sh*t IMO.

1-WAY of 6 Rhinos pays 7.5x stake. On here 1-WAY 5x buffalo pays 3.75x stake, exactly half. A full screen pays 3840x stake, whereas a hit of Rhinos in FS can pay max 729 ways x 7.5 and along with the crocodiles that would come with it, would pay nearly 6000x stake. It is a lower variance game.

Yet another crappy slot from WMS. Ever since SG Interactive tookover it's been nothing but bad slots and personally I can't stand any of the Barcrest slots.

Wishing You Fortune looks good though.

Just looking at Dunover's review makes me want to vomit. What's happened to my favourite game studio

The autospin greying out when the bonus was coming in was one of the best, exciting little "tricks" on their slots, but no more.

That new Monopoly also has an ass-ugly start button at the side of the screen, what a great design decision!

Oh well, money talks and they may have to have a rethink when their new "attempts" are not getting the play that Rhino does.

Agree totally with dunover and Balthazar. I had a playing session on it with 300xbet bankroll after I posted this thread and exactly the same thoughts popped to my mind:

Why on earth would the name it Double Buffalo Spirit when it doesn't have anything to do with the original game - as dunover stated it's a poor man's raging (or raping) rhino. Now if it was a spin-off on the original Buffalo Spirit with higher variance then I could see myself playing it but now I'll just stick to Raging Rhino. What a disappointment :(

This is probably how it went at the WMS HQ:

Programmer: So...here it is Boss...this is ripoff of the "Buffalo" Aristocrat game as you asked. With the Buffalo theme and all, no more confusion with Rhinos or 6 reels.
Boss: Cool. What will be the name?
Programmer: Well I don't know. We can't really push it and put Buffalo in the name.
Boss: Why not?
Programmer: Well, it will make it blatant. We don't want to look like the "off brand cereal" of the original game.
Boss: Don't we have a game already with Buffalo in the name?
Programmer: Yeah...Buffalo Spirit...but it's a completely different ga...
Boss: -GREAT! Find a way to use that name...add a II at the end or a double at the beginning or something. That way it doesn't look too suspect.
Programmer: But...
Boss: DO IT
Programmer: ...fine.
