Does anyone know why the UKGC allowed blueprint to release their vip versions of diamond mine and buffalo rising which are clearly bonus buy games. I know its a loophole as its technically not a bonus buy as they made the bonus the game itself. What I dont understand is if the loophole stands up why havent a flood of similar games hit the UK market and if it doesnt stand up why have the UKGC not insisted the games are removed...just rather curious if anyone has any thoughts.

They've done a money cart?

No. The game only has one option which is to buy the free spins. So technically its not a bonus buy as the base game is that you buy the free spins. Been out for ages. Was just curious as to why if its legal we havent seen more widespread use of this loophole. With moneycart you still have to win the bonus with these games its gauranteed for the identical cost of a bonus buy on the regular verion.

Ah, very naughty. Is the name "slotname" VIP, I couldn't find that from a quick Google

Money cart 1/2 is awesome though.

Some sites call them vip others all action eg diamond mine all action
These are old-style games, this 'All Bonus Buy Action' stunt has been around for around 3 years. Thing is, it's going to become farcical in the UK when the £2/5 max stakes come in and your base bet becomes 2p or 5p. Renders the whole thing facile.

I realise as I said above that they have been around for ages. My curiosity was as to why there wasnt wider take up of the mechanism
...only 2 games as far as im aware. Why didnt the mechanism become wide spread?

@dunover am I correct that the stakes limit doesnt apply to either cluster games or slingo...applies specifically to reels based casino games. Cluster games appear to fall outside the definition

"online slots game” means a casino game that is—

(a) a reel-based game, and

(b) is played online.

“reel-based game” means a game in which—

(a) moving or changing images or text are displayed by the use of visual representations of reels or other means, and

(b) an individual may win a prize or some other opportunity or advantage, as represented by the resulting arrangement of those images or text.

Yes, the devil is in the detail but with the UKGC's history of punitve fines I would be surprised if a developer was to risk pushing the definition in their own favour when the clear intent of the rules is to limit losses via stakes on rapid-turnover games.

In fact cluster-pays do exactly what you've typed in the “reel-based game” means a game in which— part. 'Or other means' is where the point of contention lies and I predict this criterion will be applied to scatter/cluster pays too as it could be argued each symbol position on the grid is a reel. 'Every symbol is a reel'.
