Does anyone have a decent VP strategy?

I enjoy playing VP and think I could be dangerous if I knew whether or not to do the doubles. They are tempting but normally I get burned with those. Is it better to just play and leave them alone? Thanks, JoAnne

Absolutely...don't even go there...and remember if you have a flush with four cards being to a Royal or Straight Flush...always dump the odd card and go for the big bucks...I've hit more Royals and Straight Flushes by dumping one or two cards than you would believe !!!

Leave all doubles alone! There is no guarantee it really is a 50/50 bet. And cheating has been seen in the past with this, also outcome is pre-determined at MG. If the casino is fair you get a 50/50 bet at best. So it is only a lose/even situation.

But if you are playing a bonus with a minimum cashout and you have cleared the wagering requirements, then it makes sense so double, so you can reach the cash-out limit.

But since you were in doubt over this question I better give you a link to VP strategy, so you are never in doubt what cards to hold.

Thank you both for the help. I am playing practice mode right now and have been playing for about 30 minutes. So far I am at the same amount I deposited. Not really getting anywhere but not losing either. So do I just keep on like this hoping for a big win? Is this the strategy? Not playing any doubles. The links are great! Just wish I knew what the hell they mean.....Thanks, JoAnne:notworthy

If you really want to learn VP get Bob Dancers Winpoker software.

I play at 100% now and I was about 73% when I started years ago. I thought I was a good player then...but now I am a great player. Even thought about going semi-pro a few years back. Hope that is helpful

The Wizard of Odds has free strategy charts for Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, Pick'Em Poker...and maybe some others.

He also lists places where you can get software and strategy cards.
