I don’t have the hands of a giant so I didn’t take that into account .

I also think I know the model. My father got one recently and it is pretty plain looking to be fair.

Yeah I knew that Rolex controlled their market. I also saw somewhere recently that they are losing their popularity too while other brands (AP etc) become more popular.

I love watches but I made the mistake a few years ago of buying a smart watch. I’ve gotten very used to it and what it does for me.

I am 6.5" Bandit says he's 6.6". I have large hands and can tell you some watches won't go over them, the straps always come maxed, you take links out to make them tighter (I have a watch repair kit at home and have done this on family members' watches for them).

The problem is that bracelet watches with a folding clasp or closed links (not buckle ones) often need links taking out for tightness on the wrist, but this reduces the circumference and may not go over the hand afterwards.

I think I know which model Rolex he has, it's the cheapest one you can get and it doesn't look that good compared to most.

Rolex limit supply unlike other equally good brands like Omega so prices are artifically high, it's like buying a pair of Adidias tennis shoes for £100 and Nike selling you an almost indentical pair with the same manufacturing materials and style for £180.

Don't need to but some people just like them.

Still wear a watch at times. Also handy at work etc. Just to look at watch for time without having to dig phone out of pocket.

But then again I don't own a rolex my watch only cost £300.

I’m not sure need is the right word. But I want to wear my watch. With it I am able to carry my phone around less, and I rarely have my wallet on me anymore as I pay for everything with my watch. The only times I take my wallet with me is when I need my driver’s license, or my debit card to withdraw cash (once every third blue moon).
