How can casinos get away with encouraging you to deposit via bitcoin when you've set your weekly deposit limit at $100? Apparently this doesn't include bitcoin as I have unfortunately found out now. Is this legal?

Update second time this has happened at surprise surprise another Direx NV casino although I am supposed to be excluded from them all I once again didn't do my research

This whole brand should be on the next to go list in Australia straight after Emu and Fairgo

If they're licensed in Curacao, legal and illegal doesn't really come in to it.

Have a drink, calm down a bit. Really, 4 messages in 10 minutes and claim rep hasn't have time to comment in middle of them on Sunday.
One clear message where all details would be provided (now it's not that clear what you want to be commented, what everything happened but only few words where can only seen that you're upset), would be much easier and nicer for all, including forum members who keep reading these threads.

Maybe post the email? That way he has something to comment on.
About bitcoins, isnt it hard to put a hard limit on them? Dont they fluctuate alot in value?

Interesting topic actually how limits are dealt with cryptos. Not sure but guess that casinos offering cryptos as payment method are not operating under MGA or UKGC but Curacao (or things have changed and now days it can be implemented to comply with these licenses too, hope it is if not yet, at least soon).

Hello @zazedac

Not sure on what I should comment. You said you should be self-excluded, but won't. Where, how? I even do not know your email address to check.

In regards to deposit limits in bitcoins - indeed, it is impossible to set. It is still possible to set wager, loss limits on any currency (including all crypto). The thing is that we offer customers one address to which he can always deposit funds. It is easier, faster, and you always can save this address and make deposits without checking every time. And here comes the problem - even if customer set any deposit limit in crypto - he still able to manually send funds on this address and it will work. But, in our opinion, since we always have loss / wager limit in place - there are no huge problems.

Hope it helps.

As said I didn’t realise they were Direx. And no every other Direx casino I have played at has deposit limits for all currencies so I don’t understand how this is acceptable for a casino to run if it cannot set limits?

Rep just replied that setting loss and wager limits is possible which make sure player can't lose/wager anything over these limits.
