Actually, I don't mean to burst your bubble, but that happened to me five times the other day.

You'd not believe how many times I came like a hair short of winning that MG Mega Moolah jackpot
Sometimes it was so close that it looked like the arrow was stopping right on the line between the $10 jackpot and the $5M jackpot. My heart still skipped a beat every time, which is the point of doing that I guess.
In reality, there's no such thing as "coming close" to win when you play slots. You either win or lose, it's 1's and 0's.
