Crazy Night!

Tonight was one of the most craziest nights I've ever had. Storms made their way towards where I live. The forecast was to be bad all day, but wasn't it was clear skies until night time hit. I was watching my 3 nieces because my sister in law is back in the hospital once again from her heart failure. Just got the girls to sleep when I was on 3dice chat and someone said Tanya look at the radar there is a tornado right by you. I checked out The Weather Channel and of course nothing on the radar, I then checked noaa.gov and nothing. I asked Cheri in chat where she seen it at so she sent me her link to a different online radar. Low and behold there it was... I ran outside looked in the skies and seen it wasn't normal there was a green tint to it. I ran in the house grabbed all three girls and ran to my truck. Headed down the road to the hospital. I was going 90 miles an hour dodging cars that were in a panic to get to where I was going too. All of a sudden it lightninged and all I seen was this huge tornado coming towards us. My whole body immediately started shaking out of control. All I kept saying was we can do this we can do this. Cars were flying down the road in a panic just as we were trying to make it to shelter before it was too late. We made it to the hospital in time and fought our way down the stairs to the basement. At one point I thought I was going to pass out from the anxiety. All I can say is thank the good lord for helping us get through this time of need. This was the most scariest experiences I have ever been through and do not want to go through it again. I cannot thank Cheri enough for being concerned and warning me of what was going on. She is a lifesaver!

About 10 minutes after we got back home I get a phone call from my brother to get the girls ready he is on his way. I said omg what is going on, he said the hospital just called and said to get up there asap that my sister in law isn't going to make it much longer. All I can think of is how in the hell is he going to make it with these storms all around us. Well once again by the grace of god he made it here and back the 45 miles to the hospital. Now I sit here and wait for his call to let me know to head that way and to let me know how she is doing.

This entire night has opened my eyes that life is too damn short for arguments, drama and all that. Be thankful for what you have because you never know when something will be taken!

awww...hugs Blondie, hang in there.

But that's good message too, I was just getting all frustrated with something and feeling sorry for myself and flipped on the news and saw that tornado in Oklahoma - a bloody MILE wide ripping right through Moore. Tragedies seem to put things in perspective, suddenly I can see my little problems as being as trivial as they really are.

Those of you affected or in the path, stay safe...

Thanks to everyone ((hugs)). There were 3 tornadoes today!! My trip to Walmart ended in a disaster, but thankfully we are okay. I rushed to pick my stubborn mom up, took me about 10 minutes to convince her to get in the truck. We spent 3 hours in a shelter this afternoon and everything has passed.

Update on my sister in law- the dr's got her bp back and she has been stable all day. Praise God! What seems to be a horrific day with the weather is turning out to be the best having her still with us.

Stay safe everyone xoxoxoxo

What a day you had! Glad to see you are ok and especially your sis-in-law.

I thought today was especially too humid, here in NY...83 degrees...which is a little off kilter for this time of year..so, I guess we had the outer impact of your weather, Blonde.

I was just thinking the same thing Chayton, (earlier today I was feeling sorry for myself over something) I actually logged on to post here in this thread. My problems seems so idiotic compaired to those in Oklahoma. Our family was watching the live coverage and had to shut it off.

Stay safe Blonde and everyone else in that area.
