Just curious and would appreciate some feedback with regards to comp levels based on deposits. Please do not consider reward point comps based on wagering. I am more interested in getting input with regards to comp's that may be provided based on a players deposits. I also would like for everyone to consider comp programs that may be invite only based such as 32 Red's Club Rouge.

What in your opinion would be a minimum level that you feel would entitle you to comp's from a casino or entitle you to be included in "exclusive player memberships"?

I am really looking for an annual amount such as $2000.00 per year

Best comps program i know in that regard is Roxy palace. I'm a Platinum VIP there and i get 30% first deposit bonuses every other day (almost) that I deposit up to a max of $150 each time. Not seen anything to beat that personally.

Regarding wagering cashback, CasinoUS used to do 0.05% on slots as opposed to 0.02% or 0.03% at most places. Not sure if thats still the case though.

Simmo, comp points at Roxy are based on wagering and I believe rtmlam is looking for places where comps are based on nothing but deposits themselves. :)

Have you ever played at any such Casino yourself, Rtmlam? I would love to know...

I don't know of any casino online that provides comps based on deposits alone - unless you mean bonuses, in which case nearly every casino provides comps based on deposits :)

Land-based - I do know of casinos that will provide comps with a minimum deposit level, but funds are exchanged for non-negotiable chips which must be played through - equivalent to 1x, since your winnings will be paid in real chips and you can wager the non-negotiable chip again. But unless you're willing to travel to Malaysia (the only one I have checked into in the past few years), I'm not going to be of much help :)

Comp "points" are Shankie :) But I am talking about deposit bonuses. As a VIP, If I make a first deposit of say $100 on each of say 10 seperate days in the course of a month, i'll usually get around $150 (5 x $30) back in bonuses, with the usual wagering restrictions obviously.

This maybe good time to ask about Fortune Lounge...

I got told yesterday by a CSR that for every $1 I wager on slots I get 1 point.
1000=$1 I guess that works out the same as any place else...Hopefully I'll hit Gold status in a couple of days. Platinium maybe a bit hard to achieve :D

No, I have not found any casino that comps strictly on deposits. What I am curious about is at what point based on your deposits do you feel the casino "should" provide you some type of additional comp's. For example, If I deposited appx. 100.00 per week with a casino (5200.00 yr ) and fully wagered, would you feel this would entitle me additional comps (i.e. additional match offers, free cash, membership to VIP clubs or lounges such as Club Rouge, etc. ). Maybe someone can shed some light on at what point they rec'd some pretty good comps based on their deposit history in the past. Also, any thoughts based on prior experience what casino(s) in your opinion recognize and adequately reward you for your business.

VC Casino have a VIP programme but very little info on their site, a few months ago, I used to only play at this casino so I asked them the question.

In their email reply they said

This may include gifts and days out to sporting or other events.
The VIP service is tailored to individuals sporting and/or other interests and hobbies.

Now I used to deposit big with these guys, deposited and lost 7K in a 48 hour period, but their reply was

The account number that matches your email address would not at present qualify for an invitation to the VIP programme.
However I can confirm that if at any stage in the future you have an account that warrants consideration for VIP status you will be notified.

so no free lunch here :p

Agree on the Roxy Palace thing. I forget about the comp thing, then it's a lovely surprise when I get an email on the Monday saying "Your account has been credited"... They deserve credit for doing things a little differently, and are building up a very loyal base I would imagine.

I think they should extend at least something on all deposits. Enough casinos do that I don't generally deposit without some incentive. I receive so many offers every week that I would never have time to play where offers are hard to come by.

The smart casinos will try to retain players after they have spent money recruiting them.

A small no-bonus deposit will often trigger an invite-only offer.

If you are talking about the really excusive tiered comp programs (e.g. Club Rouge) they seem to require quite a substantial investment, and I don't see how they are worth it for the player.

Spear,

Do you mean you have to play the non-negotiable chips 1x or you have to play until you lose 'em all and only cash out the real chips? In Macau, you can purchase these n-n chips for free jetfoil tickets and accomodation but you must the chips can only be used for betting to win real chips. So you must have to lose the entire stack before leaving and hopefully win more than your original Deposit.

Comps

I have become VIP at a few places, and there seem to be 2 main types of VIP program, and Club Rouge, which is a little different.

The first type, and easiest to achieve, are at the likes of Fortune Lounge and Roxy Palace. VIP upgrading (and downgrading), is based mainy on wagering during the preceding month. To wager, obviously one must deposit. The benefits are outlined, but some detail is left for you to find out. The Roxy one is the best I have found so far. I reached GOLD, but an error stopped me getting the newsletter. I suspect that this error might have happened to Simmo, who sees the 30% as a surprise. It is contained in the Newsletter as the Fri-Sun match paid Monday, and the Tues-Wed match paid Thursday. GOLD also is 30%, and up to a possible max of 700 per week. The WR is lower than most, and the game limitations are small (and pretty obvious). The "evil" danes have to wager through twice the amount for rest of us.
If Platinum is also 30%, I wonder what the upgrade from Gold consists of, I had hoped for having my cash-ins flushed, but CS say not so.

GOLD at Fortune lounge is "Crap" in comparison, all it seems to offer is extra lucky draw entries, fat chance of being one of the "100 lucky players" to win a free 50 or 100. I have seen the odd 30% bonus when I DON'T play!

Casino Action and Jackpot Factory have another type, the invitation based on gaming activity and length of membership. Normally, a big player will take 2 to 3 months at most to make it to VIP, a smaller player will take longer.

In particular, I have deduced that the Casino Action VIP scheme is not as "invitational" as they make out. This was confirmed when I deposited over 2000 in one weekend and rocketed straight through GOLD, and then Platinum by the morning. The formula I worked out is a relation between length of membership (2 months+), and gross deposits (1000=Silver, around 4000 to 6000 is Gold, and getting on for 10000 is Platinum).
The benefits at Casino Action are higher deposit bonus offers, great big Easter Egg from Vinoka:) , and 4x the cashback on comp points than new players. Changes are underway though, so this might change. Occasionally free chips will be added to a players account. Not every player gets the same offer, but having all 5 casinos helps if all have made Platinum. Platinum players can also use instant Neteller payment for up to /$ 2500 each day (24 hour gaps between uses), rather than the 500 once/twice a week.

Jackpot Factory also seems to require at least 2 months membership, but with only 2 accounts, I can not see how much was needed in deposits, but clearly mine was "enough". The benefits here are more substantial. the VIP lounge has a monthly set of promotions and tournaments for VIP players, which they can have as well as all the normal promotions. There is a regular 300 bonus and 300 cashback event each week ($300 for dollars). There are extra tournament events, and lucky draws. Each month, the biggest single payout from a VIP wins a prize worth around $1000, it has been a laptop PC mostly.
VIP's benefit from access to more senior CS, faster response to E-mails, and occasional "physical" comps delivered to your home as in a land casinos. I have received a camcorder, bath set, gift vouchers to name some.

The Palace Group VIP level simply "happens", there is no formal induction, but the weekly offers will suddenly seem bigger, such as 1000 cashback on slots losses instead of 200, or a 25% bonus on your next 6000 deposit(s) (only seen this once!) over the weekend. There is also a special VIP E-mail address, and occasionally a special personal offer will be extended above the normal promotions. I have had two, dinner invitation and a special boost bonus to change my luck, which ran as a bonus with a mere 8xWR the first time, and a 10% cashback for the rest of March. My luck did change, and I never claimed a cashback, I only lost during the weekend, and this play did not qualify, but the events offered a superior deal anyway so I didn't mind.

Club Rouge, unlike the rest, is not about bonuses all the time, but more like being part of the "inner circle" of friends. granted, there are better bonuses, 132 instead of 50 each month, and "Red Ruby" comps (loyalty points for wagering). Occasionally, a special Club Rouge only tournament is run, often alongside one for non Club Rouge players, the difference is that prizes are higher, but so is the amount of play needed to win. The prizes are even better than the record 2000 and 2500 offered by the Jackpot Factory in recent wagering tournaments, but the winners have VERY deep pockets, one 6000 top prize was won with 3 MILLION casino chips worth of wagering during a month. The biggest playthrough I have managed was around 200,000 over a weekend, calculated from comp points obtained. This took a long run of the games playing well enough to not need the deposits to match!
I still only came second in the VIP wagering event though at All Jackpots!

Getting into Club Rouge is really by invitation, there is no fixed criteria, such as deep pockets, losing loads. I believe my own invitation was more to do with my efforts with the MG software bugs last year than what I did at the casino, and the dinner invitation in January was a special thanks, normally the invitations go to the bigger webmasters, such as Bryan, who make an ongoing contribution to the industry.
Begging, pleading, depositing your house, etc will NOT get you into Club Rouge, and if you did get in after all this, you may end up disappointed if you expected lavish bonuses.

Thanks Vinylweatherman, very informative. The Roxy 30% match seems simple and a fair incentive. The Casino Action VIP program interest me as well if your formula is correct as they consider gross deposits and whether you consistently send your business their way. I considering raising my spending amount online in the near future and appreciate all the feedback. I will take a closer look at some of the casino and groups mentioned here. Obviously I will probably not meet the requirements for a program such as Club Rouge in the near term and certainly will continue playing to some degree at 32 Red as I have been satisfied with their service in the past. Just feeling if I increase my spending at a casino I really would like to see a little more than just a 50.00 monthly match.

Excellent post vinylweatherman, lots of good info.

Several comments:
  • Roxy's platinum level is still 30% as you said, just for higher dollar/pound amounts. (larger deposit still gets 30%)
  • I'll loyally play tens of thousands of dollars per day of action at casinos such as the Jackpot Factory group or Roxy/Vegas Splendido when they give me something back for all my play (or losses). But when Fortune Lounge (or others) only wants to give me worthless "lucky draw" entries, I'm going to spend my money elsewhere.
  • I've gotten physical comps as you mentioned from Jackpot Factory group, but as far as I know am not in that VIP lounge thing. Did you get a specific invitation to that?

Weedlayer.

When I made VIP at Jackpot factory I first noticed the VIP support lobby had appeared on the Viper interface home page. I queried this with support, and they confirmed that I had indeed been made a VIP. The invitation was in the VIP lounge inbox, which can be separate from the normal promotional E-mails. Once you fill in the profile, you are sent the formal invitation pack, which is a bath set, including a Jackpot Factory bathrobe, and a few bath accessories.
Once in, there is acces to the VIP $300 Tuesday match (WR only $1500, but no Blackjack, Roulette or Craps).

Casino Action may be worth looking at now that the "bonus account" has gone. Any bonuses can be used during the near daily tournaments. I think the wheel of cash has been downgraded, but VIP's get occasional deposit match offers under the new EZbonus system. At Platinum, I have had 100% matches on 100 and 200, I have had one 100% match on 500, and 50% matches on 500 and 1000. These come pretty much at random, so you have to keep an eye on your E-mail.

If you want to go for VIP, I would suggest Jackpot Factory and Casino Action, along with Palace Group (surprise weekend offers, usually cashbacks or match bonuses).
Club Rouge cannot be "forced", it either happens or it doesn't. At the dinner in London this actually came up, and the invitations really are made by management, and are not based simply on how much is deposited, withdrawn, won or lost, or even how long or often the casino is used. It seems more like a invitation from a friend, and seems to be a personal decision made ultimately by Pat and Ed based on fluid criteria.
Roxy at Gold is 30% at 10x WR on up to 1000 (Thursday) and 1350 (Monday). This offer has a small player edge, which the Danes seem keen on:D - I am surprised therefore that there is more in the kitty for Platinum. I had thought it might be the same bonus amount but at 40%, and I also thought that "VIP Ecash services" meant flushing. I intend to find out myself soon, however they offer less variety than the Jackpot Factory, it's the same tournament package, and there is no scoreboard as in Casino Action.
