This is my first post and not sure where this should be ? I spent many hours yesterday going through a lot of comments about Captain Cook and ICL . I don't wish to hijack a thread .
My first experience with Online Casinos was with Captain Cook ( back when online gaming was OK in the U.S ) and absolutely loved the experience . I have no credit cards and they accepted Western Union ( and Money Grams I think ) which was a fantastic way to transfer funds . I usually had funds in my players account by the time I drove back home ( 15 minutes ) . Pay-outs were routinely received via cashier's check in 8 days . I loved Microgaming software and all of the folks who managed and were in tech support at CC . Response time by tech support to my e-mails was usually 5 minutes . We stopped visiting Captain Cook when they were either taken over by or affiliated with the Casino Rewards Group as CC was nowhere near the same . Perhaps unjustifiably so , but we determined that we would not have anything to do with any casino affiliated with or owned by Casino Rewards .
I do feel that Microgaming should state a policy of always paying patrons should a casino using their software default . I have read that they " seem " to have that policy , but it should be openly stated .
I have been a long time visitor to landbased casinos in Shreveport , Louisiana , but found it so nice to spend an evening at CC in the comfort of my own home ( disliked all of the smoke in the casinos ) and without having to travel approx. 600 miles roundtrip . The experience was almost as nice as my land based casino experience ( nicer in many ways ) and the payouts at CC were good enough to make it fairly enjoyable . I did learn that there are degrees of " random generators " . Random should be random !!!
I have noticed many comments regarding the online casino experience as strictly " entertainment " . Entertainment it is , but I always visit any casino in the hope I will actually improve my financial situation . When that " hope " is removed , gambling loses all interest . If one only wants
" entertainment " there are many CD's of slots and Poker ( my favorite ) that one can purchase , but my desire is more than to simply watch reels spin and cards appear for " fun " .
I learned early on that " bonuses " were meaningless when one considers that
" gift " had to be cycled dozens of times before cashing in . My desire would be to finally have online gaming as close to land-based casinos as possible with pay-out percentages openly available to the patrons which in reality should be far better than land-based casinos as related to overhead . Any bonus should be cycled only one time before receiving pay-outs ( as with my land-based casino ) or not offered at all . If any online casino should finally realize that pay-out percentage and honesty without human GREED are what is really important , that casino will dominate all others . As long as humans are involved that is highly unlikely , but not impossible !!
Thanks ,
Jamie
