Club World Removed

With a very heavy heart, I've had to remove the Club World Group of casinos from the accredited section at Casinomeister. They have been listed here since 2006 - and we have had some awesome times together.

What happened?: there has been a recent major change of direction that this casino group has taken. The primary operator, who was instrumental in making this casino group one of the best casino groups ever, left the company several weeks ago. He had the final word in every player issue - every decision that this casino operation would make. We saw eye-to-eye on player philosophy, and he could always be counted on to do the right thing. Always. He was one of the best operators that I have ever known, and I've been in the business going on 19 years.

He left the company several weeks ago, and since then there have been a number of changes that unfortunately disqualify them from accreditation. Firstly, they are no longer licensed as far as I can tell. They had a Kahnawake license up until 31 December, but that is no more. Licensing is a major issue for being accredited, and casinos must be licensed (preferably in the EU or UK) in order to be listed. At the moment, there is only a vague reference to an office in the Czech republic on the casinos' websites. There is also a reference to a obscure Corrales Group. There is no such thing - no website or anything to give it any substantiation. So that looks pretty bogus to me.

This hurts personally. Club World has been a sponsor for the Meister Meeting since its conception in 2007. They have sponsored the Las Vegas casino dive crawl. They have churned out some awesome player experiences, won numerous Casinomeister Awards like Best US Facing Casino, Best Casino Group, Best Affiliate program - and Karolina, who is still there, Best Casino Manager two years in a row. So they were truly awesome, but unfortunately the linchpin has left the house. I really hope that he reappears in the future with a new brand somewhere. We know that if this occurs, we will have an awesome casino group at hand. I wish him well and good luck.

And I wish the current Club World group total and much success. It is just unfortunate that the changes have given me no choice but wish them well, and send them on their way. Good luck to all.

I noticed about a month ago that i NEVER managed to win while playing at any of the Club World casinos---Club World, Aladdin's Gold, Lucky Red, or All Star Slots. I even messaged them about it. Now I know why. Thanks, Casinomeister, for enlightening us. Regards, cashley356.

In regards to the CM awards logos there was some confusion and we meant to remove the accredited by CM logos not the awards....

I'm sorry Karolina, that is simply not true. Your boss has not been upfront about this. His words exactly: "We will remove any mention of your site and all links to you from all our web pages over the weekend."

He meant the awards and nothing less. It was the conclusion of a overly hostile email that I received where he accused me of more or less being a puppet of the formal operator. If you are going to be posting messages from your new bosses, please make sure that they aren't blowing smoke your way.

The question that I have is who is training these guys who have never run an online casino before? I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling that they know what they are doing.

Without trying to sound all cloak-and-daggers about it I would strongly suggest that any and all readers here take what they now hear from CWC with a big pinch of salt (wiki: "means to view something with skepticism, or to not take it literally"). In recent days I've been out-right lied to about the situation at CWC by CWC people. I see no point in naming names so suffice it to say that this does not give me a good feeling about how things are going.

FWIW, yes, I understand that times of change are stressful and good people get asked to do bad things but trust me when I say that some lies are done under duress and some lies are dished out freely. I've been around this business long enough to feel that I have some notion of the difference.

Popular, well respected leader leaves and is replaced by a heavy (tiny) handed type who has no clue what he's doing...

Where have I heard this story before?

Looks like this casino can be deleted from my desktop.
Hadn't played there for ages anyway since they stopped processing WD's to Skrill which was supposed to only last a couple of days but it was never put back in place.

Figured as much. I knew as soon as I saw it removed it was out of bitterness. And messaging and insulting the owner here is childish. Grow up. You dont get a good reputation by being Mr. Tough Guy. You get it by showing empathy, compassion, strong personality traits, trust and a willingness to work with the community.

Its okay to ask for help and guidance on how to run a business too. No need to walk in like Mr know it all and offend everyone around you. I feel sorry for the employees.

Hi Bryan,

I can only provide you with information passed onto me while I was off. I'm not sure what was included in the email conversation between you.

I think that best way going forward is to set up a meeting so you can speak eye to eye with the owners, ask questions and clean the air. They will be more than happy to speak to you at the ICE if you will find a time.

As you know we have a team of people over here who have been working for 5+ years at the CWG, the operation of the business remains as it was before.

Kind Regards,
Karolina

Well hopefully casinomeister can meet with the new owners and work it out but ya when club world employees are leaving on top of what has happened so far it's not looking good.:(

I agree with Dunover; if Clubworld wants to concentrate on European markets then it would be wise to have a European license say Malta or similar. I have no idea if an RTG casino can get a European license but I can't see why not?

I do see that Jackpot Capital has a cup-of-cocoa license as Dunover says:D What a mess this whole thing is. Anyway we have seen this before, casino has a big problem then promises that everything is alright then things go drastically downhill. People stop being paid etc. I would stay far far away from CWC group. I wish Karolina all the best and hope she finds a job elsewhere as she is an excellent rep and I am sure another casino will grab her up. Hey maybe Guts can hire her to be their rep:p (only kidding).

I think this situation is the start of a death roll of this casino group. I hope not but I guess that remains to be seen. I'd hate to see the day this group is listed in rogue town.

I'm sure a RTG casino could apply for a UK/European license but I'm not sure that the games would stand up to the testing procedures here as they have to be certificated and are of uncertain RTP for the player. At present you can play RTG at a few European-facing sites but I'm pretty sure none are licensed here. RTG serve what is a niche market, i.e. N.American - facing and apart from KK nobody plays them in Europe :D so a RTG casino would face two challenges in that quest: firstly game certification and then the competition from established software with provable RTP.

Having said that RTG games lately are catching up with the slick and polished European productions and in my work I have noticed this change so maybe...?

As I have little experience with the up close and financial end of this biz. I can't say very much. But it feel's like this entire episode is in the laps of the power's that be at the CWG.
Karolina has been a very good rep and manager and I think that it is correct for her to say that she is not aware of the nature of this nasty e-mail that Bryan speaks of.
But I do have lot's of exp. with the casino biz in mortar and brick. And the saying there is business as usual. And I feel that is what we have here. They are not going to tip their hand to any one who is in a position to make a judgement.
And Bryan is in that position. He is smart to the biz at all ends and the middle and I think that if he says a 2 is a 3 I will agree. And if his gut says WHOA!! then that is good enough for me.We as gambler's use our gut feeling's at every turn of the game and this is no different.
And our mod's here are just as smart to it. They may be funny at times But when it comes to calling a spade a spade they are dead serious. I trust them and so should the membership at a whole.

IMO this is sad and yet very serious affair that could If player's are not careful end up as we have seen countless times with player's being hurt by casino's that only have one thing in mind and that is Business As Usual and will have no worries once they have our money. Peace Out! Out Of The Mist! shewoff

So it's been nearly a week since the awards were "mistakenly" removed. Which was a lie - it was done intentionally.

No need to have any meeting. I don't need to meet with people who are not honest with me. I am the last person you want to BS in this business, and I do not take this lightly.

Obviously, the new owners - and I mean these guys are new owners in the sense that they have never made a decision that I know of pertaining to any player complaint or decision - have either no training and haven't a clue to what they are doing, or they are being coached by people who do. I can only guess it is someone who has a lot of experience running a US facing RTG casino.

I'll just leave it at that.

In the past, Club World would have been all over this thread reassuring the community here and also yourself Bryan that it is business as usual. Yet what do we get? A carefully worded statement from management and then nothing.

I would have thought at the very least they would have been very proactive in this thread and also with you Bryan behind the scenes, putting everyones minds at ease concerning the changes.

Yet all it appears they have done is BS you and in turn their partners ( affiliates ) and the player community, their customers.

Just my opinion, which is formed based on the contents of this thread. Very sad :(

Yeah. I noticed that those Awards that were removed by accident are still missing. Very poor form indeed.

If the new owners had any knowledge of this industry, the CM awards which bigger and better casino groups like 32red proudly covet and display on their sites may have had a little more meaning and value to them. Says it all.

While I know you do this with a heavy heart, lately I would have to agree its been bad. Only Karolina and the rep team on here have still been great but with the recent changes to everything they are doing even I have migrated away from them only playing occasionally and low amounts. Very sad day indeed for us who loved them for so many years and can only hope they get their shit together.

U.S. running out of options

Although I stopped playing there a couple of years ago due to one too many issues with double billing, CWG was indeed one of the best(and only) legit options for players here in the US to play (and get paid) . I'm sorry to hear they're losing their legitimacy.
I believe I have mentioned this before but just so others know, I've been playing at 5Dimes sportsbook for years now and they not only offer RTG casino software (in their Grand Casino) but several other type slots as well. They have their own poker software too but the traffic is light(and often weak so that's not altogether bad). I have NEVER had a payout issue with 5Dimes. Turnaround time is usually 48 hours and now that they're offering bitcoin deposit and withdrawal options that has changed to 24 hours or less, in most cases. I highly recommend 5Dimes to U.S. players for I have had nothing but good experiences there.

Recently I just re-opened my Club World Casino account. I was unaware of the changes until I received an email from LinkedIn. An invitation from Affiliate Edge management to be added to their network. As a player I thought this was a little odd. Has anyone else received a LinkedIn invitation from them?

Yeah. I noticed that those Awards that were removed by accident are still missing. Very poor form indeed.

Even for the likes of me who is of very limited knowledge of the technicalities of the online gaming industry the integrity of the casino is damned simply by their words in this thread being contradicted by their actions.

Dunover. Is it unlawful for a casino anywhere in the world to provide slots that do not have a fully scrutinized RTP?

Hi Guys,

Whilst I am here I should really announce some news, I will be taking on a new role in Malta. My last day here will be the 27th (this Friday).

I have had a wonderful 9+ years with Club World and AE, however I was offered an opportunity that was too good to pass up. I have always wanted to work in another country and experience different cultures and this is my chance.

I want to make clear that my decision was made based on what was best for me and I leave with only good memories.

With regards to the changes at the top, I cannot really comment (as I haven't given the change a real chance) but I can say that affiliates and players continue to be paid and it is business as usual. The company is heading in the same direction as it was previously with the focus on players and affiliates and I have full confidence that Karolina and Martyn (Affiliate Director), will continue look after your interests.

@Jasminebed & Nightfly- I have recently had to change my LinkedIn password (2 days days ago), this was because I was getting a lot of notifications to say I was connecting with people I did not know (industry folk and otherwise). I assume somebody had my password. Apologies for the connection request (and freaking you out :p), please ignore the request.

You won't regret it. I took the plunge when I was 26 to go and work for Ladbrokes in Gibraltar back in 2000. My first week at work coincided with the launch of their online casino.

I remember on the flight looking out the window as we were some 30,000 feet above Spain with clear skies. Thinking to myself that I have done some things in my time, but this tops them all as I am now actually emigrating!

However, it was a superb experience and we ( myself and my now wife ) spent a superb 6 years out on the rock. You will have a blast that is for sure. Please let me know where you end up and best of luck.

No doubt Karolina and Martyn will do what they can as they are top staff. Our concern is though is who is pulling the strings. Bryan has already stated above that the owners have no experience in running an online casino, so they must have enlisted help. The question is who??

I don't expect you to answer Stephen, but it would be good for us all ( Players and Affiliates alike ) to know who or whom is guiding the ship Club World now that the original operator is no longer there. A little transparency would be good for all of us.

Perhaps one of the owners could sign up here and tell us exactly what the score is.
