I've read this over at another forum. So I'm just reposting and giving players the heads up.

As of August 2013 Club UK casino will no longer be accepting new registrations.

Existing players will still be allowed and can continue as normal.

If you are a new UK player and would like to play at this Club World Group brand then you can sign up to either Club USA (playing in USD) or Club Euro (playing in EURO).

Thanks. I have reason why here just to let players know. Would be nice if REP's would come out with info like this when changes happens.

We have taken the decision to stop new registrations in Club UK (£), ClubUK will still be available to play in, but registration will be closed. Management has come to this decision due to a few reasons. The main reason being that based on our research, we have found that the vast majority of UK and Euro Zone players sign up in dollars and not their home currency.

So, the "vast majority" don't read and obey the terms and conditions, because nearly every casino has one that players must play in their home currency if it's available. Perhaps their research is skewed because RTG does not support multiple currencies, and the vast majority of RTG casinos FORCE the US Dollar on players. The Euro would be the currency used by RTG casinos who are not accepting US players.

One major reason for Club UK not attracting UK players is the software, the network progressives are not multi currency either, so Club UK has to offer a separate pool derived from UK Pound bets, and this pool barely grows, hence players prefer Dollars or Euros because they get access to the main network progressive pools.

UK Pound RTG casinos will always suffer this disadvantage because it is imposed by the software. In other softwares, all currencies work with the same network progressive pools, so choice of currency does not affect access to big jackpots.

If anything Club UK is one of the very few paces UK players can access RTG in their native currency, without having their deposits and withdrawals repeatedly skimmed by processors for conversion fees, foreign transaction fees, etc. The problem is marketing, Club UK doesn't get any, it's all for "Club World", which is the US Dollar based casinos that accept US players. UK players may think they don't have the choice to play "Club World" in Pounds.
