Just out of curiousity Why the big deal to Close an Account on line?

I think the easiest way to do this is to go to Control Panel and click "add/remove" link and uninstall... Am I missing something here?
Rusty , maybe you can elaborate
Thanks

We all know it's so easy to download the casino again.
This way if the casino is notified to close the acct it makes it harder.
People at times need this push to make them stop playing online.
And good for them (The Player) to come out and to tell the casino they have a problem. It takes guts to admit that they have a problem.

Just removing the software from your computer does not close your account. You need to email them. I've asked in chat, and this is what they told me. BTW, I simply closed my account with Simon Says because of lack of withdrawal options. I am pleased to report that I have had no mail from them since either.

The bid deal is that if a player is truly addicted and/or trying to quit for other reasons, then uninstalling a casino from their computer isn't enough.

If they don't have enough willpower to simply stay away and not re-download the casinos they have uninstalled, then of course that won't do any good.

The only option for a player in that situation is to have the casino close their accounts indefinitely.

What I don't get is why more places don't automate this system. I know for a fact that PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, and Cake Poker have a system in place within the software that allows you to exclude yourself from play. Periods can range from 24 hours up to 180 days. Once you exclude yourself, there is no way to play, even at free money tables, until this period is over.

I'm only assuming that they don't offer automatic permanent exclusion for the sole fact that some players would do this out of haste, and they'd have a rough time getting off of the exclusion list.
