should i go to my bank and hand them to the teller for deposit, or should i try a cheque-cashing shop? i'm interested in less heat, not caring too much over any nominal fee or anything. anyhow, there are two cheques (from playboy casino), totalling close to USD 1200. my bank will just take them no questions asked right? or is a cash-on-the-spot joint better? i'm not overly concerned with having the money immediately, and i think if i go in the bank and do it that it processes by the end of the day to available anyway. thanks guys, i'll be back later. my mom had surgery and i gotta go with her to get groceries because she can't lift anything. see ya!

If you are interested in less heat, just go to your bank and deposit. No
questions asked, whereas you go to a check cashing place they will ask you for D.L, possibly fill out form with S.S # and ask you where those checks are from.

My spelling and grammar okay?
good luck!!!

if i get cheques in USD and try to bank them, i think its a 50 GBP charge per cheque or something..... its not good. soz cant help, but i wud try to avoid this at all costs, even getting ripped off by casinos USD to GBP if necessary!

thanks guys. i think the bank is the best way to go. i am going to head up there in a few, then grab some beer for poker tonight! trying to lay off the kippen too, but they just go so well with beer i might have to buy one last packet. i say this every wednesday lol.

My experience:
go to your bank and deposit into your USD account.
It will be on hold for 5-15 business days.
When it's released, if you are in Toronto, go to downtown

to cash it into CAD.
