Casinos for US players from Restricted States

The only thing the UIGEA did was prohibit financial transactions to be made for "illegal internet gambling", without actually defining what is and what is not illegal.

The 11 states that are no longer accepted by MG casinos are those which have specific state laws against internet gambling.

This thread makes me wonder if I would be able to play on a MG online casino while I'm *visiting* Michigan, one of the 11 states with specific online gambling prohibition. I live in one of the other 39 states and have registered from my resident state, but I wonder if I'm still allowed to bet online from my friend's computer through my account while in a state that is banned by them?

There are several MG poker rooms that take players from all states except WA, LA and IL. Can you only play poker there and not casino games? These include Doyle's, Intertops and Poker Host. I've seen a few sites and forums show that many MG poker rooms are down to only those 3 state bans but I have been unable to confirm it with the rooms. I guess they don't want to go on record.

I can't even register at intertops.

I found this site's list. Much of the info is wrong as there are still many sites banning the 11/12 states but I did confirm Intertops, Doyle's and Poker Host did not follow the 11/12 state ban.

Several other sites had no comment and a couple said this site was outright wrong and that the other sites didn't take players from those states either (even though they confirmed they did). FWIW I have created an account, played and cashed out from SD on one of those site.

My understanding is that as long as you registered the account outside Michigan, and you're payment info/address is outside Michigan also you wouldn't have a problem. I think the blocking is done at registration level.
