Would've thought any casino group would love to fork out the progressive. Maybe not.......Here is a funny story..
Had an interesting experience at one popular Microgaming group. I had been a VIP there for awhile and so had my own VIP relations rep who offered bonuses
whenever I deposited a lot and had even sent me a gift/goodie basket in the mail......Anyway, since I knew they liked giving me bonuses whenever I deposited larger sums, I simply asked them to offer me the bonuses whenever one of their progressive jackpots was very high so I could play the winnings of my bonus-play (which was usually +EV because of the x30 rollover) on it.
Basically my message was ........"help me increase my chances of winning the jackpot and I will deposit and play more"....I figured this would be win-win, because the jackpot is funded by other players, so it doesn't hurt the casino to have one of their players win, but my "bonus-play" losses (assuming I didn't beat the WR) would still go directly to the casino (because you can't play progressives when bonus WR remains). WIN-WIN right????.......... WRONG surprisingly! No reply from the casino relations manager rep and no more friendly replies/chats, bonuses or gift basket goodies ever since from this casino group.......OUCH !
Oh well, live and learn. Maybe casinos never want you to win (even if winning doesn't necessarily mean a financial loss to them).
(Actually after writing this message. I suddenly feel like closing my account there. Anyone who sometimes deposits five-figures in a month shouldn't get the cold shoulder even if one of their requests did accidently "hit a nerve" so to speak).
