A week in and only 1 entry over 1000x. Not sure what to make of that, have the usual suspect big hitters not started playing yet this month?

Silver 5th/Bronze pays more than Gold 5th, theres minimal incentive to chase the big wins. A 5000x+ win could lose which is kind of wild tbh.

I did some rough math and figured an entry of 1800x+ would probably be worth entering for Gold but given the random xwin structure thats hard to justify chasing. Just hoping I get a Gold qualifying win in my normal play.

Well, rule 14 stipulates you can't hoard wins and have to post within 24hrs. So waiting to post won't do you any good. Moreover the multiplier above 1000x can be anything ranging from 1000x upto the max win the most volatile slot.

What I meant was they are waiting to start playing after a few people post their 1000x plus wins.
In my case I have decided that I will post one hit which is below 1500x and one hit which is between 1500x-2000x. But I need to get one first.

It's an interesting problem to figure out.

Also unless there was clarification later the original post makes no mention of a cap on the gold win. The number could be 15000 or 1500.

Unlike competitions where big hits matter I think getting a 10kx hit is probably not good because the selected number is surely a few thousand at most. In which case you'd much rather submit a score around 2000 to hedge your bets rather than going massive.

With no swaps allowed and just 2 entries possible sadly I do think it encourages holding off until the last few days then deciding what kind of number you want to aim for. I already regret locking in both my bronzes so early.

I think it makes sense having that prize difference. The competition for silver and bronze will be huge. At the current rate of submissions everyone who submits a 1000x + hit could end up getting a prize. Hell maybe there won't even be 5. Since you only win max 1 prize in each tier you need 5 different people getting those big hits. Looking at the past highest X months it's usually the same handful of people with multiple huge hits.

I must say that i would still prefer getting a 10kx+ win instead of a win that would be more likely to win a gold tier prize.

I have not played much this month, but the little i did play i barely got wins qualifying for the bronze tier so i didnt bother posting anything.
Kind of knew i had a shit run coming after the hits i got last month, thats always how it goes.

Well yes of course if you're playing you'd much rather the bigger win, but you might think twice about submitting it to the competition was what I was suggesting. Could explain the lack of entries on the higher tier.

Or maybe it's simply that people are not getting big hits yet this month

Why though? As the targets for each tier have already been chosen just prior to the competition starting. Also as a 'target challenge', swaps would make no difference.

The reason however why I decided to keep the targets secret, was based on the fact people would only post those hits that are closest to them.

This is different to those comps whereby a random number generator is used to decide on the winners, as the targets for each tier are already locked in.

If I wait until the last few days I can check the leaderboard before submitting and see if my score will be closest to more than just 1 number therefore increasing the odds of being a winning number. And no I don't mean hoarding wins and saving good numbers.

I agree that posting the number in advance would have been way worse so it's not that I think there's anything wrong with the competition, I like the idea a lot . Don't mind me I was just thinking out loud. Don't think it matters for the bronze tiers anyway as they're all equal.

Well it doesn't matter where you end up as all three of you are going to win €30.
It's different for the other two tiers but the range is also big.

This is a MUCH better contest for EVERYONE. I am glad webcaz listened to the feedback so the rest of people can join in and not feel excluded because a couple freeloaders sit on their comp and min bet 24/7 to win contests LOL.

The other contests favored certain people including myself where I can play whatever I want for as long as I want and the others who cant do that have zero chance.

This is much more fair and level and hope to see these contests only moving forward.

Its exciting to see others win and not the same people over and over again.

Its tough to have a comp be engaging to players and finding that middleground. The upside to the multiplier comp is you could chase/adjust score etc but it was very competitive vs the provider comps qualifying with upto 5 10x+ entries everyone enters the maximum and does not return. Much like when sites offer a demo/play money contest the engagement quality goes in the toilet, you get your free entry in and move on.

I am still trying to get my hits for gold and silver tiers.
For silver tier I see that most entries are between 300x-600x and 800x-1000x. The range between 600to 800 is currently untouched so I am going for two screenshots between 550x and 850x.

Something like the blackjack with a heart comp would be nice again. I don't think that's good for a month long comp tho, more of a 10 days side quest kinda thing.
