casinoauthority.com is for sale

How much am I asking?

The sky's the limit!

Seriously though, it's an awesome domain name and has been active since 1999...I just have not had time to do much with it.

Want some history on it?

It was originally owned by RTG-- I was the webmaster for RTG from 2000-2005 and initially developed casinoauthority.com to serve as a portal for ultimately directing websurfers to RTG licensees.

BUT--after a while that idea was dropped..we'd be competing with our licensees as well as our licensees' affiliates for traffic and that's just not cool.

No more effort went into the site because of the conflict of interest and the site kinda just sat idle--

Long story short- casinoauthority.com was transferred to me as a part of my severance package from RTG almost 2 years ago.

I will take no less than $5000 US.

The site has no traffic and only Page Rank 2, with all inner pages disabled and you want a minimum of $5000 for it!!!

I own gamblingauthority.com and authoritypoker.com but they are not worth more than the registration fee alone. I think you really are setting your asking price way too high. In the current climate, with no traffic whatsoever then you are unlikely to get offered very much at all.

If you do not think that gamblingauthority and authoritypoker.com are not worth more than the registration fee, I'll be happy to give you 2x the going yearly registration fee rate currently at godaddy for em.

Your negotiating skills are lacking.

When someone say's "i'll take no less..." offer less anyways rather than chastise them.

prizewagon.com to be honest your selling skills are lacking ;) I get from your post that the only thing of value this domain offers is age. The domain name itself has some brand value but that means very little online. I suggest you spent some time on it adding some content and obtaining some backlinks before asking a ridiculous price of $5k. ATM the domain is not worth more than $100.

My, how times have changed. I registered dawn.net back in 1996 and sold it for $1k. No content, no traffic, nothing. :D

Yah, back in 98 we paid something like $250 for a .net domain, here from South Africa! I have no idea how much your domain cost but perhaps it was branded domain for them and they were willing to pay allot more. There was no domain legislation back then and the pricing of domains has come down allot! I remember a couple of stories of guys that made a fast buck buying brand name domains and then selling it back to the companies or countries! lol

When I registered it in 96, there were no other registrars other than Internic. I believe they were $35 a year..

all that is left to say is I hope you got plenty more in your severence package. With the current US dip in the market it is a terrible time to sell try ebay and you might get a fool to pay you a few hundred but we are too wise here.

*tugs on necktie and does best Rodney Dangerfield*

Boy I tell ya, I don't get no respect. This morning when I put on my underwear I could hear the Fruit-of-the-Loom guys laughing at me.

In my defense though, I did sell vegasmagic.com as a less-than-a-year registered domain for $5k w/ 0 for content, backlinks, PR, etc.

Nothing wrong with taking another stab at it.

Was this before, or after the UIGEA?

Before of course.

But, with the US market shut down and markets overseas expanding to fill the void, (esp asia) it's still the wild wild west out there for enterprising entrepeneurs.
