OK, so, we've figured out -- *cough* learned from the SEO guys *cough* -- that some of our threads need a bit of a bump and/or update to make reference to other parts of the site aka cross-link to related stuff. So Bump_Dude is going to handle that stuff for us.

Hopefully some of this will be useful and none of it too shilly or offensive BUT if it irritates you can always add Bump_Dude to your Ignore list and *poof* Bump_Dude will be dead to you.

We will be watching this account so if words need to be said then by all means say your words.

Dude is good as I assume it's also intended to be an homage to the new name of Mr Casinomeister himself.

I'm not very imaginative so only thing i can think of is key-bump. He bumps and it is key to making some threads work as intended.

Confused here.

Always mentioned by staff that it's not a good idea to bump 10 year old threads and to start new ones.

But now we have new member off staff called bump that appears to be here just to.do that lol.

Yup, you’re right, on all counts. The truth is that this is an SEO-driven thing in order to get maximum juice out of threads that are still popular and/or should be cross-linked to the Wordpress side of Casinomeister.

It's not the old days anymore where you threw up a site and the revenue came washing in. Most of our friends in our corner of the market are dead and gone...
