The OP came here attempting to get link exchanges for his site.
He/She is obviously aware of how to increase traffic to his/her website... and was attempting to do so by posting here.
No one was trying to "chase him away"... myself & others took him to task for unauthorized use of screen shots from here... promoting rogues... and blatantly unfactual info about eCogra.
He's not a "newbie"... he has been around awhile.
I (and most other CM members) have very little tolerance for unethical & sleazy webmasters who just throw up a site... don't care about promoting rogues... post totally inaccurate information... and wait for the money to roll in.
It's NOT my job to "TRAIN - TEACH - EARN RESPECT - PROMOTE UNDERSTANDING instead of slamming someone?"...
Being actively involved for more than TEN YEARS now in the online gaming industry... and having seen WAY TOO MANY sleazy webmasters & websites... at this point in time I just "NAME & SHAME" said webmasters when I see sites that are just BULLSHIT... and hope that naive newbies stay away from said sites.
But come on...
Remember what it was like when you were all starry eyed - and everything was absolutely fresh - and it all looked like a good deal - and OMG --- YOU CAN MAKE SOME MONEY TOO?????
People aren't like all of us here.
Having studied - listened, paid attention.. Being a part of other associations and forums.
Some people don't have hours a day to do it.
If we slam and yell and point... instead of helping them - then we create a hostile environment.
If we teach - explain and show - then we help them --- so that THEY can turn around and help others.
I have found if you SLAM someone you get 2 reactions:
1) Hurt, Humiliation, Fear - and DEPARTURE
2) Anger and Violent Outbursts
#1) provides you with someone who leaves feeling horrible - and either gives up or never returns.
#2) provides you with someone who becomes angry and gets nasty and says - I don't care, screw you.
Neither one of those reactions are beneficial to you - me - them - or the internet gambling world.
Their site IS going to be ON the internet.
Wouldn't it be better to teach them to make it a GOOD site - instead of tossing them out on their ear... And the site becomes worse?
Leaving the door open for a newbie to fall prey to?
I just don't get it.
Lately everyone has become ANGRY - MEAN...
Like they've forgotten that they are dealing with real people with real emotions.
And it's really sad.
I think it would be so much better to make it HELPFUL which in the one post there you showed that there were some wrong statements.
The poster may not understand WHY those are wrong statements - or even how to fix the HTML /CSS or whatever.... Yanno?
They may be totally clueless...
And to be honest - if the poster didn't care about your opinion - they would have NEVER removed the 2 casinos that they did....
I'm just wondering if the people who are being so angry lately - --- if they have started seeing evil behind everything.
Guys - evil is only really about 20% - the other 80% are just dorks. Yanno?
Come on - we really need to bring back the laughter, smiles, good will - and TRUST.
Yeah - I know - once burned hard to have trust...
But we need it.
