Where do people stand on brought bonuses and calculating the win multiplier

Eg 100 to buy bonus at 1 stake and the result is 1000 . Do you see this win as 1000x or 10x ?

Without trying to influence votes I think the calculation has to be cash return/ cash staked ie 10x.Thats the reality
of the bet.The play stake is only relevant when the feature is won naturally, still the same calc though.

Most people seem to do the multiplier based on the stake, not based on the cost of the bonus.

I think the reason is, because the wins are still a factor of the stake, so whether you bought the bonus or not, from a rarity perspective, it's still 1000x. You could argue that, if you got the bonus naturally, then the cost of every spin up to that point should also be totalled. That would be impractical and inconsistent.

So yeh, a multiplier of the stake should be what it is reported at, but also probably with a note saying it was a bonus buy :)

If you stake/bet £200 and win £1000 your return is 5 x stake. Doesn't matter if its a single spin or a bonus buy.
If I put a £5 yankee on the horses (£55) and it returns £50 I say I lost £5, I don't think, get in, 10x my stake back. Not sure how it can be calculated any other way.

If you buy a £2 stake bonus for £200 and you get £100 back, do you think you lost £100 or won 50x?

Both :) Because Return and Winnings are different things.

When it comes to slots people say 1000x to mean a multiplier of the stake, regardless of if it was a bonus buy or not (I am specifically talking slots here). Like I said, it's more about the rarity of the win. Esp when it comes to recordings or streamers. A 1000x win from a bonus buy is just as entertaining to watch as a 1000x bonus that you got naturally. It is also just as rare.

So yeh, it'd be a 1000x win but a 10x return.

I rarely buy bonuses as that doesn't go well for me but when I do I consider the result based on the bonus buy-in amount.

It is part of the attraction of bonus buys,if I buy a £10 feature and it returns £15 I am quite happy .If I play a normal game
at £10 spin and win £15 it would mean nothing. The actual returns on bonus buys can be atrocious often returning pennies
with anything over 2x buy being the exception but I am still a sucker for them.
