I didn’t want to test it as BTG slots have limited autoplay options that only allows 100 spins at a time which makes testing a pain.

Your figures confirmed what I found out the hard way - I went over 2400 spins with no bonus so your stats show 1-2000 spins isn't unusual. That's just not acceptable on any game despite the regular small pays and occasional 100x + in the base game. It's just NOT worth banging away on it losing a fortune for one of those theoretical pie-in-the-sky wins of 10,000's x bet. In tens of millions of documented spins one bloke hit 14k x bet with a freak Diamond win once. If we bought tens of millions of lottery tickets many of us would win well in excess of 14k x our ticket bet.

About the potential and the chances to hit big: I have said it more than once. The chance of 1000x is around 100 times lower than it is in DOA. In DOA it is 1/25,000, in Bonanza it is 1/2,500,000.
That is an educated guess based on a number of things. We can’t have it all, frequent small/medium hits and millions win potential (casinos are not charity). As for the lottery, we know it has much lower RTP, don’t play there. And comparing to mega moolah or other jackpots, the chances to win millions from Bonanza are much better obviously. A 1 / 100 million for a 15000x or 1/ billion for a 200,000x bet is something I am happy with if it comes with as good RTP and frequent medium/small wins as Bonanza.
