I have to say of all the games I've played over the years the game that gives me the biggest adrenaline rush is when you get to the final stage on 300 shields. Hardly ever happens but in terms of bonus excitement it has to be one of the best. The remaining 99% of the game is horrendous mind you!

Sweet bonanza bonus is pretty exciting too IMO.

I’ve noticed if you get a bonus now it subsequently takes every last bit afterwards it’s changed so much very rare to get even a semi decent bonus now. The other day I got a £1.10 bonus on £1 needless to say I’ve not played it since and won’t it’s toxic AF. Also agree with others about the William hill version being bent I also find paddy powers is a disgrace as well never had a good bonus on there in all the years which is just shocking. I have been playing other games and actually getting play time
 
Everyone likes a challenge....but that’s a bridge too far. Seriously though, I saw a massive change in Bonanza, starting about a fortnight ago. If I didn’t know better, I would say the game has been changed under the hood.........Actually, I don’t know better so I am saying the game has been changed. You can’t blag someone who has played it virtually every day for 4 and half years. No sir, you can’t do that.

Had a go on The Beast Sunday.

The blizzard of dead spins were incredible.

I nearly bust on my 1st bonus attempt, won it all back from a Buffalo Rising bonus and then nearly bust again on The Beast chasing a bonus but then it took pity on me with a bonus giving me my money back with 50 on top. Another bonus triggered after a few more spins but it paid the princely sum of £5 and then it went back into suck mode and I left.

I echo the thoughts of The Beast taking back what you win and then some before you can win again athough I guess most slots probably do that to a degree.

Looking forward to @dunover next session.
 
This thing's driving me up the wall. I've been playing it for hours and I feel like I'm capped at a 20x bet above deposit win. If I try to play beyond that the see-saw goes down and then goes back up again but only to a 20x above deposit.win again. The bonuses are quite frequent but struggle to get to double figures and the only sizable gain-backs are in the base game. It's almost like it's just enjoying winding me up. Lol.
 
I'd just like to say this game changed how I was living my life.
In 4 weeks since I stopped playing this bastard and signed up to game stop, I sat down and had a good think about my life style and decided to give my self a boot up the arse,.
I started training again I'm now running 7 mile a day all week bar a Saturday I've tottaly cut all crap from my diet eating twice a day.
Up to this morning I've lost 1st and I feel better than I have in years as for gambling I don't miss it one bit but I'm not fool there will be times when It crosses my mind but to date that hasn't happened yet.
I think back and I'm absolutely livid with my self think about the money and time I spent playing, but it my case it wasn't about the money it was the time anything up to 14 hours a day 7 days a week constantly hitting auto spins in work and hiding my phone.
So thanks BTG for giving me that kick up the hoop..

Perhaps we should start a bonanza recovery thread, for all of us who have or are attempting to go cold turkey on the beast? ? I hit 300x on 80p a few weeks back and since then it has decided to take it all back. Last night I had 5 bonuses off a £20 deposit and the highest pay was 30x on 40p, the rest were less than 10x! What have BTG programmed into this game that sucks us back in all the time!?
 
I got to the point where it was absolutely obvious that the game was running at a lower rtp. Don’t listen to all the crap about having to make different versions etc.

Do providers really think we are stupid enough to believe that. If they expect us to believe slots work via extremely complex maths, then surely these mathematical wizards would create every slot so it can be adjusted to any rtp required in an instant.

I have seen it with my own eyes in the high street bookmakers. They would run tournaments at a weekend on the FOBTS. The game would change every week and some of them were absolutely dreadful slots. That is, until they were selected for the tourney.

I used to watch, as the supervisor stuck a key in the side so it switched modes when players took a turn and as if by magic, the slot turned into the most amazing game ever. Virtually every other spin producing wins that you hadn’t seen in a year of solid play.

This was a dirty trick, employed by all the major firms because the main objective was to target customers who didn’t normally play slots. It was cringeworthy, as they would virtually drag the poor customer, who only came in to put £2 on the footy, towards the machine, insisting that “it’s free, you can’t lose”.

Of course, hoping and praying, that whilst playing, the unsuspecting customer is completely taken with the slot, not realising it is in super enhanced mode and thinks this looks fun I will start playing every week. Yes folks the tactics that go on are far from responsible.

I know staff are supposed to promote RG and if they notice customers spending too much or getting irate with losing they have a duty to intervene. Yet I saw heaps of customers who lost amounts that were ridiculous and they were never once questioned about whether they felt comfortable.

I questioned the manager (a good friend) about it one day as I noticed that the second a high roller had, had a bad session and walked out, one of the team would be jotting down stats. He’s young and naive this manager and would give away any info I asked for.

He explained that they track high rollers and when I asked why one guy in particular, wasn’t asked if he felt comfortable with his losses (which had been over £100,000 the previous year), the manager said, “we wouldn’t want to upset him or he might go to Hills”.

This sort of thing used to happen in full view of everybody but of course, 99.9% of people aren’t taking a blind bit of notice about what’s really going on, just like life in general. If it doesn’t concern people or have a benefit to them, the vast majority of people don’t give things a second glance.

The question you have to ask here is, if the major bookies employ these tactics in full view of the public, what might happen online, where nobody can see a damn thing? Most of you folk are lovely trusting people and I commend you for that. I however, am not like that, shame on me.

Has anyone else noticed a ridiculous change in the game, starting the minute BTG sold out or is it just me? That knowing feeling you would occasionally get, that told you the D wasn’t coming has now turned into standard practice.

If it’s still playing okay for you then fair enough but if you have any underlying concerns as to whether the game has been messed with, then take heed because I can assure you 100%, from where I am sitting it has been.

i knew the minute it went down on all the sites and then returned it was completely different. The change was so obvious. It was the dead spins in the base for me I counted 12 in a go never has that happened before. It makes me mad because they lie and say nothings changed think we are stupid. It’s made me quit I haven’t played since cos I’m sick of being took for a right mug I refuse to put any money in to these sites any more it’s just all fishy and dodgy
 
Suck - Bonus or reel win around the amount sucked - Suck. Rinse & repeat.
Unless you catch it at a bad time where it would just be Suck - Bust.
Maybe 1 in 10 times the bonus is more than the amount sucked but it's rare and not by much.

I always found Diamond Mine more brutal than Bonanza but I seem to do better on that now.

I'd given this game up but last week got sucked back in

I had around 30 bonuses at 2 pound a spin and about half at 1 pound a spin. numerous 17 spin triggers and 22 spin trigger. not one was above x50. We are talking closed to a grand in deposits without a sinlgle cash out. I had 20p left in one account and hit GOLD which was x300. Whch actually pissed me off so much.

Long story short ive timed myself out again and im done again with this the auto spin removal has been a life saver that will bury this game for good.

I hate to go all snorky but since its been sold its changed massively. But slots are dead for me.
 
Yeah, I hate to admit it but Bonanza, once the king of slots imo, is no more. The “maths” if that’s what you can call it has been changed dramatically and not for the better.

I have thought about it and if that’s legit, that providers can change games to that extent with no questions asked, then that’s it for me, I am done.

We know it’s happened before with games by SG in particular so I suppose it’s nothing new, just wrong Imo.

Coupled with the fact that slotting has become more of a chore than a pleasure thanks to all the ridiculously OTT SOW’s and HV rip off games, it’s time to walk away.

It’s no coincidence that others have chosen this moment to Gamstop or close accounts, there’s just no value for money any longer.

I will still play the handful of games I feel still hold a bit of value but that will not include Bonanza and it will be very occasionally, not most days.

This isn’t a sour grapes post, I made a substantial profit last year and I am not going to give it all back, simple as that.

Never a truer word spoken. I know gambling is losses but it’s nice to get some value sometimes. When your hard earned money is gone continuously in 5 mins you really do have ask yourself what is the point? I hate the feeling of being robbed. Playtime even without cash out you feel like you’ve had your fun. This is just robbery. And the people who say slots aren’t rigged how do they explain the blatant change in the game?

You were just running way better than you should have been which you confused with being able to read the game. This was more than evident in the many screenshots you posted where your bonuses were way better than they should have been and also in higher numbers.

You are now on the opposite end of the scale and suggesting as you’ve done many times before that the game has been changed. How many times have you said that over the numerous pages of this thread? Only to return to a few good sessions again and everything is ok again!!

I do agree about the value of other games tho. Ridiculous variance meaning that again unless you run like you did on DOA2 for example which is akin to winning the lottery then your balance will get battered.

Which is why we often return to bonanza as if anything even if it’s in one of its bad moods it still offers you more turn over than most games on the market.

If they did and spotted the amount of experienced and time served players calling it a day, they may think long and hard about their ridiculous greed of late and maybe go back to just basic greed

Game has been playing completely different for me since about 3 weeks. Looks like it's running on a completely different program, something that feels more like megaways slots from Pragmatic.
20 Deadspins is nog exception, while this used to never happen before.
Also the amount of "huge potential spins that miss by 1 symbol" is insanely high.
It's stacking a lot of the symbols like crazy sometimes.
It just feels so different and so much worse, it doesn't even function as a wager slot anymore.
