I agree with you but, despite its shitness I still enjoy playing it. Maybe I'm a masochist or something. Three weeks of pleasure followed by three weeks of pain.
It's definitely weird how it goes from 110% (for me) for a few weeks to 83% for a few weeks and that includes a decent bonus frequency. That's not random over thousands of spins. You don't need to do a million or a billion to see patterns. Random should mean what it says. Up and down like a prostitute's knickers.
Funnily enough, after Dunover mentioned getting two bonuses in quick succession following a dry spell I had another little bash. I was on 650 spins since a bonus yesterday, eventually got up to 1302 then, lo and behold, 21 spins til my next bonus. I've gone over 1000 spins six times since starting my little experiment. Three of those had the following bonus within 31 spins.

As my experiment has passed 100 bonuses I've had a little recap. How's this for coincidence - last time I went over 1000 spins was five days ago on the 22nd. Before that it was 5 days previously on the 17th. Before that it was five days previously on the 12th. Before that it was five days previously on the 7th. Before that it was 10 days previously on 28th December. Before that it was the day I started this experiment on 23rd December. There wasn't one on the 2nd Jan as I only did a couple of hundred spins that day.
I won't be playing it next Wednesday.

It becomes apparent after a while as to how these games are programmed. You soon realise that once the multiplier gets tasty, multiple ways of 6oak, ain’t happening or if it does, it’s one in a million.

It was okay originally because you would get a decent amount of x200-x500 wins. That was before “THE FILTH” decided to take the piss out of their customers and insult their intelligence by butchering the game and robbing the unsuspecting player.
