Next week I go into hospital for a spine operation. .,The odds of a

successful operation are slightly in my favour ..so as a gambling man I will take those odds ...If successful it will, get me out of my wheelchair if unsuccessful could mean further loss of functions ..but with things as difficult as they are now ..It was a gamble
worth taking ..although it wasn't an easy decision to come to ...guess sometimes you gotta take a leap of faith ...I will enjoy one last session in my fav casino before op..

so I will wish everyone a great Xmas and New year

and if things don't go well ...Thanks for the friendships and entertainment over
the years ...although

hopefully next time a board meet takes place ..I may be able to get along on my own 2 feet

Wow sattty, that almost made me start to cry. You've had so many tough years and I really really hope you'll make it.
I wish you all the luck in the world and I will be thinking of you:thumbsup:

Please come back and update this thread when you can :)

All the best of luck to you Sattty and also wish you a Merry Christmas and happy New Year and of course also to all your nearest and family :notworthy

Good luck with the op. I am sure all will go well for you. I shall say a prayer that you will be walking before too long:)

We live in an age of miracles. Doctors are a pessimistic and cautious bunch when it comes to predicting outcomes. If they feel the odds are in your favour I am sure they are.

So instead of luck, I'll wish you a speedy recovery from the operation. I'm sure physio will be long and grueling, but we know you have the gumption to tackle it.

PS. When I saw the thread title I thought you were getting married;)

Good luck!

Good luck, man! This kind of puts things in perspective. I woke up today and looked outside and thoght 'what a crap day'. After reading this, I'm going to re-evaluate my attitude and realize how fortunate I am.

I wish you a successful op and speedy recovery!

Thanks everyone .,its much appreciated. ..truth be told I am not that nervous about op

I have excepted what will be ..will be ....more worried about those Xmas bonuses I will miss

I am a newbee here and do not know anyone yet, however, would like to wish you good luck! I hope the operation will be successful and the New Year will bring you hapiness only!

Best of luck! Thank God you don't have that neurosurgeon that is on trial for killing his wife here in Canada. Apparently he is one of the best. I certainly hope you get the best surgeon out there and enjoy a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones.

That's incredibly exciting news satty!

I am sure everybody here will send positive vibes your way, myself included! Let us know how you fare next week please!
That's about the greatest Christmas gift i could imagine you could wish for :D
Good luck with the O.P.!

Oh, and if i were in your situation, i would definitely also totally go for it, no doubt in my mind there

Are you from Quebec? I assumed you were from Wakefield England.

Please let us know how you make out. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you but it sounds very optimistic.

The VERY best to you! Thoughts and prayers in abundance.
