MAJOR PROGRESSIVES WINNER ANNOUNCED

William Hill the venue for Millionaire's Club win of the month

Last week's big million pound sterling winner of the Millionaire's Club progressive (see earlier InfoPowa reports) has been announced, with William Hill's online casino rightly claiming that Christmas has come early for the lucky online gambler, a 55 year old electrician from Oxfordshire, England who wishes to remain anonymous.

Mr. X has more than a million reasons to be cheerful after landing the UK's biggest online slot machine win of over GBP 1.1 million.

After staking just GBP 3 to play the online slot machine progressive, the punter says knew he was in for a payout when the 'bonus game' came up - but scooping the jackpot was beyond his wildest dreams. Then all the reels fell into place, making him an instant sterling millionaire and giving William Hill another big payout just a week after another Hills customer, David Redshaw from Slough, scooped GBP 100 000 from just 5p on Williamhillbingo.com.

Spokeswoman Jennie Prest said, "It certainly is the season to be jolly for our 'Mr X', winning such a life-changing amount just before Christmas. It's our second huge payout in the space of two weeks and Mr X goes down in history as being our first millionaire from the online casino."

Mr. X commented: "The whole family is ecstatic and it feels like we are living the dream. This is going to be one amazing Christmas. The money gives us security for the rest of lives, although we will definitely be splashing out on some treats as well - extra special Christmas presents and perhaps a holiday. I've been playing on Williamhillcasino.com for a while and although I have picked up a few nice wins, I never really considered the possibility that the jackpot could be mine - but now it is, it is just amazing."

The mystery electrician wasn't the only Brit celebrating this weekend - over at Jackpotjoy.com the Deal or No Deal online slot record jackpot was hit for a staggering GBP 965 728, almost three times more than the game's previous record.

27-year-old online gambler and beauty therapist Emira B from Dewsbury in West Yorkshire took down the jackpot over the weekend and said: "I'm in shock. It's unbelievable. I've just told my family. They sort of believe me! They didn't even know that I played. I told them to look and that I'd won the Jackpot. It's not sunk in yet. Oh my God."

She added, "I haven't any idea what I'll spend the money on yet but me and my family will be sorted. I've got to go to work tomorrow but I don't know if I'll go. I work as a beauty therapist in a salon. Hopefully I'll get my own now. I can't believe it!"

"You lucky, lucky, bastards" ( name that film ;) )

Actually I think the record DOND jackpot has been reported somewhere in the region of 620k up to now, but still, I doubt anyone's complaining somehow

A friend of mine asked me whether the JPJ game might be +EV just several hours before it hit after he noticed the jackpot was so high. I told him probably not because the jackpot game is not random so there is no way of telling. He's gutted he didn't play now :p

I'm a bit puzzled, as when the 9 liner first came out, there were no winners for ages with the jackpot climbing all the way to around 5 Million, but since then it has been repeatedly hit around the 1Million mark.
Did they change something?
