Big fine for Videoslots & Casumo

When i had my win with BetVictor in July I withdrew it all in one day in 4 x £30,000 chunks and 1 £25,000. No issues at all, didn't have to ask for limits to be changed or anything.

Hello everyone,

We have done some updates in the Terms and Conditions regarding withdrawals and clarification regarding what methods can be used. Our terms and conditions now read as follows:

2.15 -When and if, there are jackpot games on the website, an account holder who won a jackpot of more than € 50,000 in the progressive slots, may have to wait up to 30 working days on payment from the time of the jackpot. Account holder can then choose to take out the full jackpot profit, regardless of size.

For winnings that are not categorized as progressive jackpots, the following applies:

You may withdraw the balance of Your account balance (not including the bonus balance). Any amounts up to €30,000 shall be paid to your original payment method and thereafter the balance shall be paid by bank transfer. To request an amount over €30,000 you should contact Customer Support support@videoslots.com

For the avoidance of doubt, Videoslots is obliged to carry out additional due diligence checks, which may result in a delay in you receiving your funds.

Best regards,
Team Videoslots.

So there is no more cashout limit but anything bigger than 30k has to go via bank transfer?
Also what is "original payment method"? Is it the latest?

For example, player deposits 10k over 12 months with neteller, then deposits 20 with visa. Then wins 2,000 and ask for cashout. Will it go to neteller or visa?

Hello Nikantw,

There is no max withdrawal limit, only limits on what method you can use for it. For your second question, it should be withdrawn via Neteller.

Best regards,
Team Videoslots.

Excellent news that you now have no withdrawal limits :)
Can I ask why you still do that withdrawal calculation though? It could facilitate money laundering/illegal money, whereas back to the original payment method makes it much harder.

And so it begins........ Not like I am going to win a progressive mind you but that does not sound good the way I am reading it. :(

Is it not because they have to wait for the jackpot to be paid to them from whichever provider it is from, and some may want to verify then take a while to pay? like the 18 mill mega one, I wouldn't expect most casinos to be able to pay that out their own pocket.

Yes main jackpots are from common network and provider will pay but 30 days sounds a long time to wait your money

Hello everyone.

@colinsunderland I will try to get more information and, if possible, get back to you and explain.

@slotmaster The waiting period is sometimes enforced by the provider of the jackpot since large transactions take more time due to them being more complex. As soon as we receive the money and performs our internal checks, we can begin transferring the funds.

Best regards,
Team Videoslots

I would assume that any clauses in the terms & conditions are written by, or at least approved by the Videoslots legal department.
For whom, by the standard of the English grammar in this clause, English is a second language.

Obviously this clause can't really be misinterpreted because of the grammatical errors.
But maybe it does highlight a problem, and possibly where the 'incident' with the UKGC stems from - Misinterpretation of the rules, from a lack of knowledge of the subtleties of written English. Especially when used in legal documents, which are usually VERY carefully worded.

I would have expected VS to engage a specialised UK lawyer to check all T&Cs to avoid grammatical errors, ambiguity, etc. and to ensure consistency.

What is the illegal part - the player depositing to gamble or the casinos offering gambling services to customers? No idea on Dutch regulation hence the question.

Basically online gambling is "illegal" because the Dutch Gambling Commission (KSA) doesn't give out licenses to online casino's and bookmakers right now. So they fine casino's accomodating to Dutch players who offer them support in Dutch or having iDeal payment services. There will be regulation soon and casino's will have to get a Dutch license to offer their services. I'm not sure when this will happen but it's been set in motion on February 19th, but it's been in the making for about 5 years so I wouldn't hold my breath

The latest news is that the Dutch Senate has approved the bill and the Remote Gambling Act should finally come into force next year with casinos being able to apply for a licence in July (price: €100,000). They will also have to pay 29% taxes...
