BGO are now charging £2.50 for withdrawing your winnings. As far as I can tell the only points they tell you this are buried deep in their T&Cs and on the withdrawal screen. For the first one, their T&Cs are really long and it is buried in clause 7 in a paragraph way way down. For the second it is on the withdrawal screen i.e the screen you visit after you have already deposited and wagered your money. So the only places where they inform you are one you won't spot and one you won't visit until it's already too late. Very very scummy. (I tried searching BGO but it's too short a term, so this may be a duplicate.)

A lot of casinos do that so it's not surprising.
Did it stop you from cashing out your winnings or what is the complaint? Even if it can feel like an awful thing that you didn't know, I'm sure there are a lot that has to be covered in their rules and I don't see why this fee should be on top of those rules.

Is that a flat fee? If so, then it shouldn't matter too much as it covers any withdrawal amount.

Not a fan of fees generally as a lowroller but we've seen these around for quite a while now, so it's not that surprising to see BGO adopt this too

I don't know where you've been, but to me this is extremely unusual behaviour, (in fact unique, and I've registered at a lot of places). I have no problem with them charging a fee, (and would have no interest in making a deposit either), if it was done on the level. A term way down in the T&Cs and on a screen you won't see until too late, is not on the level, for something that is very unusual/unique for a UK casino.

Well my guess is that their rules look like most casinos rules. One of them regarding deposits and the next one about withdrawals. Am I correct?
Before those it's some important parts about your account and your obligations bla bla...

If you take a look at their rules then what parts should have changed place just so that you would have known earlier?

Another question is if you usually read or rules now and then, or completely at sign up?
I think it sounds great that it's on the screen when you're cashing out, which inform you of the fee. Where should they put it please tell me?

Most of the time we know which casinos having a fee for both deposits and withdrawals so we can choose, because we mostly do our research before registering.
If a casino are changing their rules they maybe should tell you. There you have a point, but it's definately not worthy of a complaint thread or to be called roguish!

Such an unusual divergence from standard practice should be displayed prominently in the T&Cs, not buried as a minor clause in a paragraph way way down. It should be warned before you deposit on the main page or the deposit screen or the registration screen or any/all as that is the point of no return. Nobody needs to read the withdrawal page until they try to withdraw and a casual skim of the T&Cs should be enough to spot aberrant terms, they should not be hidden away.

Honestly it sound like you just lost. Do they have a minimal cashout amount and with the fee you suddenly couldn't cash out and lost it all.

I've heard people complaining about deposit fees and cashout fees, but never before about where they inform about them.
At least you can chose another place for next time. Just make sure to ask them about fee's before you play :)

So basically term 7 of 9 in a paragraph well hidden in the centre of a long set of T&Cs. Any argument that it is put on on the withdrawal screen therefore it is kosher is flawed by the fact that there is no reason to visit that screen until you want to withdraw your money. None of their peers do this. It's a stealth fee deliberately hidden until it's too late.

It's like if I put up a sign on my front door in morse code saying "£100 fee to leave my house". You don't notice it because a morse code sign its so unusual you're not looking for it. You come in and have a few drinks. As you get up to leave I say "£100 please" It's perfectly fine because I put up an awkward to read sign and informed you at the point you wanted to leave, right?

Ok, you've posted this in the complain section. I hope you have read the rules for posting complaints here. You must notify a rep before you start a thread.
If not then maybe you could do that now.

I mean you are doing this because you want them to change? To have clearer rules of that fee?

It's the weekend now so don't expect them to reply until next week, but send them a link is smart so they have a chance to see what they've done wrong.
Maybe they agree and maybe not.

I will also report it to the mods. Maybe they don't think it's fair that one of their accredited casinos are called roguish for this kind of complaint and will remove that part.

I wouldn't say this is rogue behaviour but certainly a little bit underhand. If true, it's sneaky, but will a casino put in bold letters that they've introduced a player-unfriendly term when logging on? Nope.

What bugs me in general with the almost weekly T&C 'amendments' is that it's extremely easy for casinos to highlight what new changes have been introduced, as opposed to a whole block of text for players to wade through in the hope of finding the changes within.

They know nobody's going to re-read the thing a second time, giving them carte blanche to implement whatever they want.
