I have played recently at Europa Casino's (Playtech) mobile platform.

I don't really like it due to the size limitation (I have a Sony Z1 compact phone) and I also had difficulties to reach the settings (change coin and lines) at the bottom of the page with any browsers I used (Chrome and the built in one).

So I played Iron Man 3 and after a few spins realized that I did not play all 25 lines so I wanted to change that. I changed my coin size to 0.1 (it was 0.2 before) and pressed Max bet button to have the maximum lines as I did not want to fiddle with the numbers around the slot (where I could have touched number 25 if the numbers would not be to small for my finger).
So I pressed the Max bet button which resulted a 250 USD spin (25 lines with 10 USD/line bet). Of course I had 250 USD on my account and the spin did not win anything.

I contacted Europa Casino asking for a refund. They offered me 125 USD as they thought it was a mistake in my side (setting the coin size to 10 USD).
After a few mails back and forth they understood my issue and compensated me fully (kudos to them) and promised to check with their supplier.

In summary don't use Max bet button at Playtech mobile casino (or at least Iron Man 3 at Europa Casino) as it will result a spin with a maximum line net with a maximum coin size.

Isn't that what 'MAX BET' means? To spin with the maximum amount possible.

Usually maximum bet selects all pay lines, and if there is some kind of coin level setting available, it also selects the maximum number of coins, but it does not change the coin size. This is how it works with non-mobile Playtech games also if I remember correctly.

Let's say I'm playing a game that has 10 lines, maximum coin level of 10, and coin size between 0.01 and 1 euro.

Let's say I have selected 1 line, coin level 1 and coin size 0.01 euro, so my bet is the smallest possible, 0.01 euro. Now I hit max bet. This results in 1 euro bet, with maximum 10 lines and maximum coin level of 10, the coin size stays unchanged, so it does not result to 100 euro bet.

No john not normally. If you are playing at say 1p a line bet on 20 lines at one coin on a slot where you get up to 10 coins if you hit max bet it should then play at the 10 coins for total stake of £2. Hitting max bet should play the slot on max bet for the coin stake you are using not the maxbet the slot can take . Thanks for the warning stokes luckily I don't play playtech but that was a sore one to happen. Luckily the casino saw sense and refunded you the money. Id be real mad if it happened to me.

I was just playing at Video Slots and using the max bet button. It did not change the coin size on the slot I was playing.

I'll admit I have no experience with Playtech games, mobile or otherwise. I guess it's a good warning then, pressing 'MAX BET' will give you the maximum bet!

No if you hit max bet it does not cahnge the coin size, say for instance I play great blue at 1p per line if I hit max bet the most it should take is £2.50 (I think), for it to take £250 it has changed the coin size after pressing max bet

The only difference is that there is no coin level at mobile casino (if I am not mistaken), but more coin value (like 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 etc.).

In that case it operated properly. JMO.

On browser/PC download Playtech games that don't have coin level, just large range of coin sizes, the max bet also results just to max lines, not to max coin size.

If a person is betting with 0.01 euro coin size and 1 line at Spamalot slot, "Bet Max" button results in 20 line bet with same coin size, 0.20 euro, it does not raise the coin size to 50 euro, resulting into the actual maximum available bet in that slot , 1k euro.
