Betfair allowed me to deposit with wrong cvc number!!

I just made a deposit on betfair put in the wrong cvc number the back 3 of the card and it still got accepted and money added to my balance
I find that VERY strange how it was not declined anyone else ever had this happen?

Litteraly No idea Ive just tried it on 5 other sites with wrong number and it got declined. I tried it AGAIN with betfair random 3 numbers worked again!!

Idealy if anyone wants to do a £5 deposit and enter the wrong code for their card to see if it's just me go ahead id be surprised if they allow everyone to do that

It depends on the payment provider, some rely on CVV and some don't in limited circumstances.

ie on our NZ lottery website if you have a registered/validated CC that you have used before they don't check the CVV on deposits after that either and allow incorrect ones. I imagine your case is similar with a deposit history onsite?

This is VERY true Infact l recall not long ago I was able to make a deposit by just putting the amount and present submit not even putting my cvc on number in on a casino site

When did you change the card mate? I would say its highly unusual for any gambling company to allow it - I know some online payments will accept a payment without a CVV but it is very risky for them as it opens them up massivley for disputing payments in the future

To be honest I've put in wrong CVV many a time and always gets declined. But for some reason Lottomart has accepted deposits with wrong CVV several times in past.
