Best Promotions Ever?

I got contacted by a casino today asking me what a good promotion might be. Got me thinking about the ones I've liked in the past and I thought it might make a good subject for a thread. For two reasons:

1) it gives feedback to the casinos who read here as to what players like
2) if they take note, we get better promotions LOL.

Personally the two promotions that I like are good Cashback offers (20% plus) and Holiday promos. I'm also a bit partial to Techno Gadget promos like iPads and stuff.

That said, the key is to whether I think I have a chance of winning. The promos that go to the Biggest Wagering Players don't interest me in the slightest as you just can't compete with some of the high rollers. The ones with lots of prizes and a level playing field in terms of qualification are more me.

But I think that's a given for most players.

So anyone want to chime in with what promotions float their boat, and particularly which promos in the past have really turned them on.

PS. Any references to winning trips to the 2006 World Cup will result in a 7 day ban ;)

Cheers

Good points. I too am partial to winning a gadget. Winning cash...why care if you'll probably play it back anyway?

Personally, I like to see something tangible come out of a win. Something creative or just plain practical.

As you already know - I'm the complete opposite to you!
Cash-back offers (what, you have to LOSE to get the bonus!), gadget competitions and wagering tournaments have no appeal to me at all.
Cash bonuses are the only thing which turn me on.

Best in recent times have been the Ladbrokes "can't lose" promos; e.g. Wager just £25 and get a £25 bonus.

The single best promo recently was back in December; note the amount of WR required (by the red blob) and my balance prior to cash-out (from a $50 deposit & 5 minutes of play).
More of these please! :D

Wow never seen a smaller wagering requirement!

I much prefer wagering competiton promotions to random prize draws, as the former you can work towards winning something and get an idea how well you will do, wheras the latter I just assume i'm never going to win (and even if I wager/lose looooads, I might still not win).

Gadget prizes and things are sometimes good but only if I actually want the prize in question.

I prefer cash prizes, then I can buy whatever I want with it afterwards.

Don't much like holiday promotions as they are usually not very flexible.

100 % or more

Hello, dear fellow members.

I prefer bonuses with wageringrequirements, like 100 % bonuses or more. I am a low roller player for the most. And with a bonus I can taste the sweetness of being a little more high roller.
Sometimes I am lucky to get through the wr, fine. If I don't, I have had a great time at the casino.

Regards
L'aresenne

Hiya: I kind of gave up a long time ago. "The same time the casino's all said, No Prom's or Bonus for Table Players".......

Fine, i understand how this is really hard for the casino, as they have to have really high WR, or they are most likely gonna lose money on the Bonus. But a Promo offer is different. And who Died, and said, 'There can only be one"

The following are for All Table games; You just choose the one you like.

1. Match bet, up to $50 on any even money bet. All games
2. Free Spin, or dice roll, with match bet, and limit of $50 win. craps, sic bo, roulette.
3. Deposit $200, or more, and get a Gift, valued at $50 or more. Have a few different gifts to choose from.
4. Deposit $300 or more, via any method of your choice, and get a Free Western Union withdraw, "all fee's paid by the casino", on any withdraw of $1999 or less. This is done within an hour or so, after withdraw request is made.

And any other thing that is not just the normal, 100% match bonus, 30x play thru, max cashout $100, or the standard $5 happy birthday to you free chip.
Real casino's do this kind of stuff, and the only difference is that instead of going to a window in the store in the casino to get what you won, it is being mailed to you. So What? It was Free..........

I am glad Simmo started the thread, and dissapointed again, that casino reps have not been told to Stop asking us what we want. You Know, because there are 20 threads, all started by different Casino Reps, asking what it would take for you to deposit/play there?

I personally enjoy a nice deposit bonus with low wagering requirements (e.g. 20x or lower) so I feel like I have a chance at actually making wager req and being able to cash out.

Cashback on deposits is great, even if I don't deposit huge amounts still gives me that extra chance.

And, finally, I like to feel appreciated for my play. Emails showing up from manager/vip dept etc, with acknowledgement of that and a special perk makes my day :)Random free chips make me feel like I have a small chance to maybe recoup those losses ;)

The more perks I get, the more I deposit and play...treat the customer well, they always come back.

Thanks everyone so far.

One of the things I was particularly interested in is actual real world examples of promos/signup offers that got you interested like KK alludes to with Dendera. Anyone else got a memory for any of those?

Gifts, competitions, holidays...even if it's just a signup bonus, which one and what made it stand out?

Hiya: It was a long time ago. But it went something like this. Download casino. deposit XX amount. Log into the free spins area. There was a Wheel, like wheel of fortune. You had $10, at set $1 per spin, and you get 10 free spins, with the $10 they gave you. What was ever won, if anything, then got added to your real money account. There was no wagering requirement, but you could not just automaticly make a withdraw either.

Another one i remember was, 'Play in fee mode", and a % of whatever you ened up with, over the starting Balance, gets added to your real money account. There was a max you could win, and it was also set to $1 flat bets. All games were included.

Great thread Simmo.

Pomos that I dislike.

Highest wagering, low rollers need not apply.
Deposit bonuses with more than 25xWR D+B
Deposit bonuses that have max cashout terms (scam)
Any sticky bonus
Win a holiday or gadget - 1. I don't care and 2. The odds of winning are usually extreme.

Promos I like or would like to see

Deposit bonuses with fair WR and no cashout restrictions.
Cashback bonuses of 20% or more - second chances are good.
Free spins or no deposit welcome back bonuses.

and one I would like to see would be cash prize to the highest and lowest returns on a set slot over first 1000 spins from a set time and date. (1 shot is all you got)
This would mean low rollers would have an equal chance (though there could be a low minimum bet size) and the positive for the casino is that they can promote certain slots and know they are guaranteed people playing for 1,000 spins to try and win the cash prize.
Preferably such a promo would only run for a day or two but they could come thick and fast.

I like my Riverbelle bonus I get twice a week. Buy up to $50 in credits, receive 100% match bonus. Plain and simple. Playthrough requirements are in affect HOWEVER, I am able to sacrifice my bonus at any time if I want to cash out my cash balance. Cant beat it.

I love the idea of cash back promotions. With cash back, you're not tied up in WR with your deposit, and can cash out any time you want.

Keep in mind that the cash back offer should not be restricted to whether you win or lose, and should not have a max cashout tied into it either.

I also like promotions running that offer a comp multiplier when you play certain games, or whatnot.

And of course, any bonus that is not phantom, and has WR of 15x or less, with no max cashout. ;) ...and doesn't have WR that are d+b. Think about it. Say a casino offers a 60% bonus, but the WR are 30x D+B. In essence, they're asking you to roll over 40% of your deposit 30x.

COMPS! Similar to my B&M every month I get something small that shows they appreciate my business. Last month is was $5 free a week and a lotto ticket. This month its an extra 500 in comp point for every week you play on your comp card, if you play all 4 weeks you get double :)

Keeps me coming back even if its just to play a fiver :)

Yep, that's for sure. I'd love to see more online casinos offering merchandise that you can buy with comp points. I know there's a few out there, but it's rare. I really don't understand why more casinos don't do something like this, because I believe players would play more when they know that they can own something tangible by doing something they'd do anyways....I mean, how nice would it be to buy a nice LCD TV with your comps instead of cashing them in and just losing them playing slots?

I know Pokerstars and Full Tilt let you buy anything from decks of cards all the way up to high end cars.

The last time I went to my B&M casino, I played some BJ for a couple hours and poker for about 5. I earned about $20 in comps that trip alone...

I too like post wagering bonuses, and especially ones that are not dependant on you losing.

I enjoy freespins, and freechips for holidays or my birthday.

An email telling me there is a free chip waiting for me after a bad session is terrific.

I like 100% match bonuses because I like the extra playtime. Give me a reasonable WR on them, and don't make the bonus phantom or sticky or whatever you call it.

If you offer less than 100% bonus, please make the WR on the bonus only, not on my D+B.

One of my favourite casinos has few decent bonuses, but quite good comps. Even a $20 deposit usually earns me a $1 or two that I can cash out WITH NO RESTRICTIONS.

I like any match bonus with no restrictions and no wagering requirement. Sticky or not it's the way to go. When you win you cash out no hassle. I think it's the best bonus a casino can offer. In reality the bonuses casino's were losing on were the No deposit bonuses where any joe or jane could play with no intention of ever depositing. That's why we have the stupid wagering requirements. A fair bonus would be like 5X play through.

No wagering requirements? What planet are you living on? :)

Yes I agree. Canbet run a 20% slots cashback on losses that is great. Clockwork.

Yeah that has cost me a lot LOL. 32Red, iNet's manager Bonus and plenty of Playtechs use that one. the problem is "selling it" because in many cases it will be done based on player value. If you start to advertise it it will become expected and may not be applicable to every player.

Costa Rica I suspect ;) Rogues aside, that's never gonna happen except to the most valuable VIP's. It would be commercial suicide.

Royal Joker used to give me a 10% total deposit bonus every week (win or lose). There was a small rollover ( I believe it was like 4X the amount of the bonus) and there was no cashout limitations and I was still collecting comp points.

The few times I have played at All Slots USA, they have given me a 10% bonus when I deposit. I would rather have my deposits totalled and THEN a bonus given, gives me something to look forward to and possibly keep depositing.

I haven't seen a worthwhile bonus in ages, hence I don't use them. If I was to use a bonus and win a random jackpot (I'm more likely to be struck by lightening than have THAT happen) I don't want to have to forfeit it due to some stoopid T&Cs.

Best promotions I have seen!

Unfortunately many good promotions are at places where they have to offer bonuses instead of quick withdrawals and good support.
I have listed promotions I have seen and used even if some of them are at places many players avoid.
No particular order!

* Slotsmeister! Great promo! Unfortunately am I not lucky at those at all. It's still great!

* Those Microgaming casinos with withdrawable amount even if you haven't finished your WR is good.
All Slots(and the rest of jackpot factory) is one of them I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.

* 300% phantom bonus with No Max Cashout and No WR. Yes, unfortunately this is a bonus at virtual/ace revenue casinos but it exists.
I can see that no reputable casino would offer this.. Or? 32RED? Come on! Give us this now! :D

* Weekend tournament at 21 Grand and Supreme Play every friday. Deposit 25$, play with 1025$ and 20 minutes to clear 7.5x deposit+bonus WR. Max cashout 300$ and first prize in the tourney is a 750$chip with 5x wr.

* 2 stage tournament at Dendera where you start with a 200$ free chip and if you clear wr you have your amount as a bonus up to 1000$ when you deposit 25$. You now have a wr of 10 times bonus+deposit in stage 2.

* 300% cashable welcome bonus at Microgaming, I think it was Canbet a couple of months ago. I lost...even if wr was reasonable..strange..
I think I have seen even 400% Microgaming bonuses before, I can understand why people are trying to open multiple accounts..

* Free chips at Rival where you can use several in a row. Vegas Regal..

I'm with KK, I don't want to lose to get my bonus! I am playing more for winning than for losing. Winning=fun, losing=boring! :D

I support the no restrictions/ no wagering requirement match bonuses. This is what we're all after. And what most newbies assume they are getting when they sign up. You win you cash out no hassle.

Every day I say to the fairies at the bottom of my garden, I'm gonna get me one of them Unicorns to travel on when Porky the pig gets too fat to fly me to work and back.

Bet I get my wish before you get yours ;)

Remember back in the good ol' days (5 to 7 years ago) when reputable online casinos like Golden Palace (and all her clones) used to offer a 200% bonus on your first deposit? Wager requirements were only 4x the amount your deposit, the bonus was fully cashable and there were no game exclusions.

That's back when it was actually easy to make a steady 2nd income gambling online. I wish I still had my gambling ledger from back in those days where I kept detailed records of every casino I ever made a deposit at.

Making a monthly profit of $10k or more on casino bonuses was not an unusual occurrence for many of us on these boards who have been here since the beginning. Those big paydays are long gone unfortunately, but it sure was fun while it lasted. :)

Bonuses

I like to get a bonus that just appears in my account simply because the casino wants to give it to me. After playing for awhile, it is nice to see that a casino does appreciate your business.

Secondly, I love the way that MG does the bonuses (or use to anyway, don't know if they still do) but you use the bonus but when you want to cash out you don't have to worry about WR requirements, etc., they just take the bonus back. This is a great promo idea simply because many times when you have WR requirements, the money is gone before you can cash out even if you hit a nice amount (happened to me the other night). This makes it so disgusting that you don't want to even use a bonus, however, sometimes I have noticed when you don't use a bonus you win nada!

One more thing, I like contests that don't have anything to do with having to purchase so much for so long, etc. One time about 4 or so years ago River Belle had a writing contest. It started off with a scenario that was given about a man and woman leaving a boat dock and there was a big ship waiting. They started the scenario and left you hanging. The contest was to take the scenario and write a certain word story to carry it on. At the end of the week a winner was picked (for chapter 1 so to speak), then the players had to pick up there and carry the story on. This went on each week for I think 4 to 6 weeks and each winner won $10,000.00. I was the winner of the finale week :D I had the end of the story. It was so fun!!! Actually it was awesome!!! It allowed y our imagination to flow, the people out there were so creative (players), and it was totally different than any contest I had ever participated it. I'll never forget the day I logged in to the casino and saw that the final winner had been picked...Linda M from the USA. I called them and said "is that me", and they told me they would call me back. In less than an hour I was called and told "congratulations". $10,000.00 was mine!!! It was paid quick and I paid bills and bought some things for my kids and grandkids...it was a nice day! Sorry for going on and on...it just brought back good memories!

On the other hand, it is kind of deflating when you see a contest where "so many" are going to be picked to go on to the next round of a contest and you look at the winners boards and the people that are at the top have wagered "way out there" or either hit something great. I know that I won't have a chance, so I get discouraged before I start (and I'm an optimist). :D

One More Thing

Just thought about another thing that would be cool. One time I was playing at 3 Dice and there was this random thing that was going on where a player was picked and he or she won a certain amount of money.

Now...what would be cool is if you were playing on XX casino and periodically a spinner would start with all the players names rolling by and then it would stop...go to a certain player and this player would receive an automatic cash bonus that matched the last depisit he or she made. For instance, just say I deposited $50, then my name landed in the notch, I would receive $50 right then and there with no WR requirements, etc. The casino could do it just say every 2 hours or so. It would definately not hurt the casino because they know more than likely the player will play it. But...if the player doesn't want to...then they can cash out. I personally have found that when I win in a casino I will stick with that casino through loses, over and over again. It is the "give back" that impresses me.

Now...what would be cool is if you were playing on XX casino and periodically a spinner would start with all the players names rolling by and then it would stop...

Reminds me of when I was in Macau and a Bingo game would start on all the machines across the floor using the Loyalty Card screen. You'd get a sound to alert everyone it was starting and you could carry on playing your game or sit and watch. Someone guaranteed to win every hour or so - liked that idea.

For the past few years the best SUB must have been Ladbrokes, 100% up to 100 with 8xB wagering and all games counted as 100%. Super soft bonus at a very reputable casino, what more can (could) you ask for?
