What is your favourite and most lothed soundtrack then? Everyone will have an opinion on this I am certain of it. Some games have the most irritating sound effects and have noticed people mute the sound like I do. There are very few games I will keep the sound on and it also depends on my mood and recent win success rate (if it is bad I am likely to mute it) if I am up I'll have it on because I don't mind the games spinning a little slower than they would with no sound. My worst 3 are: Kitcats(slotser) Seriously mew mew mew mew mew mew mew worse than the chipmunk song and crazy frog combined! and a shrieking cat every win with a wild! So annoying! 2nd is an old slot by Rival 5 Reel Circus extremely monotonous theme music and a extremely annoying clown horn every single hit! Were you on drugs rival?! 3rd worst is easily Immortal Romance only kidding!! I think the 3rd worst theme music for me has to be 5 reel bingo another very annoying theme google the game and you'll want to blow your brains out to stop hearing it seriously! Very annoying sound effects and music just so bad rival how did this pass the testing and get released with this hellish theme?!

Ok now my 3 favourites(this was hard)

no1 Immortal Romance songs during free spins although the music in the base game does make my patience wear a bit thin! no2 Jack and the beanstalk base game and theme music brings a smile to my face it is just pleasant and don;t find it annoying no 3 Reel Steal that professionals/miami vice/magnum esque theme is top drawer do do dooo do do da da d a da do do dod odo :D ! Ok and cause I am a nice guy an honourable mention to the creator of theme music for Casinomeister another rather nice theme tune! Nice job! Need to hear more of your riffs/chords though!

Does sound just like mortal kombat! You should hear the mix of that is nice! Yep agreed good music big fish little fish cardboard box ha ha ha! I felt like I was in a rave listening to that ha ha! Not as into dance stuff as much as I used to be but sometimes a little is ok.

To me, that's the sound of Vegas right there... Whenever you walk through the casino, ANY casino it's the same. The occasional cheering from the pit, the giggling & screaming from the hen parties & that there sound bite from the slots

Now I realise I may not be the target demographic for the game, but my favourite is probably 'Ruby Slippers'

Very subtle & inoffensive soundtrack that reminds me of Christmas at grandma's. (In the UK, Wizard of Oz was on every Christmas without fail). I get quite excited when playing & hear Dorothy saying "what's happening" & then the bubbles appear to turn the reels wild. (Similar to the wild desire feature on Immortal Romance & see vid below (not mine unfortunately!).

As for the worst, I guess I should also say the above for making me sound like a girl! :p

Inspired by this, I went to play the slot & just his this... :)

My favourit has to be Alaskan Fishing. At least the version that was from the beginning.
They totally destroyed the game when they changed it and now the volume is going up and down so I can't even have it on...which mean I have stopped playing it :(
But I did love the music.

Worst is for me Santas Wild Ride and Heart's & Tarts. They both sounds horrible.

One of the best: The big win count up on Elvis WMS "Viva Las Vegas"

The worst: Playtech slots all have the same stupid win music, composed on a Zx Spectrum.

A zx spectrum pahahaha! That is old school right there! Had a commodore 64 but no spectrum. I have always muted playtech so literally had no idea what they sounded like does this even apply to safari heat?

Agreed Santa's Wild Ride extremely annoying! What is that base theme music anyway why didn't they do a rock version of a xmas song which would be more apt! Get the license and do a parody of something that would work? The music fits this about as well as thunderstruck originals sound effects and music don't fit that! the boing sound every time you press spin enough to drive you doolally!:eek2:

TSII the 25xThor spins is good.

SWR I agree is just terrible. TSI is bad too. TFTUT grinds me down badly with the sound on.

Worst ever is Vile Torture, 'cowabunga' and all that bollox. The music makes me want to chase people's pets and kill them.

Agree with SWR being horrible. Not keen on Run Mode or Fight Mode on BSG either.

WMS Big Win music....awesome. I still haven't played WMS to this day, but thanks to Chopley's vids, I know about the music.
And I seriously need to consider taking the WMS plunge.

TFTUT....hate the base game music, love the bonus round music. I absolutely love the music for Space Wars.

As for MG....I like the music on Valkyrie and Odin feature on TS2, Michael's feature on IR, Sofia's feature on Playboy, Normal Mode on BSG,
Dusky Moors on Avalon 2, Free Spins on Dark Knight and T-Rex and Velociraptor Free Spins on Jurassic Park. I also like the intro movies on Agent
Jane Blonde and IR.

Playtech....bonus round music on The Pink Panther, base game on Ghost Rider and the paytable music on Baywatch.

I'm sure there's others I love and hate, I just can't think of them right now.

I always enjoyed the Cashapillar free spin theme song, as I play the clarinet, and I like to listen to old ragtime stuff, imagining I'm part of the band. :D :D

A lot of times when I'm playing it's at night so I'll play with the sound off just to keep from waking anyone else, but I do like to have it on when I can. I think good music/sounds add a lot to the whole playing experience. Personally I like the music from Starburst and Elements and Lights...it's there and it adds to the whole thing without detracting too much.

The theme from Ladies Night is kinda weird, it always reminds of of like 70's porn 'boom-chica-wawa' stuff. And although I'm a big Ozzy fan, I don't like loading music from the Osbournes game. On an unrelated (but sorta related) topic, the voiceover guy from Playtech's Santa Surprise game always sets my teeth on edge, "Congratulations, you've won free spins with an EX three multiplier!" :what:

That Isn't half a tranquil slot! I'm about falling asleep to that music and I've just had a strong coffee not long ago! Note to self play that music when I can't sleep haha!!:lolup:

That warrior wild symbol on 300 Shields when it contributes to a win  I can't stand the damn thing, especially when he sounds his battle cry on a win of 0,04 or something equally ridiculous  I'm also annoyed by a whole host of Wager Gaming Technology slots, though I suppose it doesn't matter since they pretty much don't have any sounds except the annoying sound of spinning reels so I always play them on mute.

As for favourite ones, I don't really remember too many instances when I took notice of music or sounds in slot games, but MG's Leagues of Fortune comes to mind - the free spins music is good and gives me some positive energy (at least right up to the point when the spins end and I have won almost nothing :D). Also that short piece from when you start up Playtech's Fantastic Four seems to have stuck in my head for some reason.

Good thread Dave ;)

Immortal Romance (during features) I like all 4 characters, annoying as hell in the base game background music when on a loser

Jurassic Park, I love the Brachio as Its close ish to the film music.

The Untamed games during the features for some reason I like the music even tho repetitive (probably something to do with the fact that 'Yay I got a feature :p'

To be fair I like most and always play with speakers on, adds to the overall experience.

A little known game but '6 Appeal' by Realistic has a good song in the bonus round. Sounds like a Shirley Bassey James Bond theme but with 6 Appeal instead of Goldfinger. You need to retrigger the spins a couple of times to get the full song in

Love 70's Porn and/or Gangster movie Funk! those are the best ever :p

I am surprised no one has mentioned the classic 243 way from MG, Burning Desire yet for the "worst" category? Something is wrong with that song...sounds void of emotion somehow.

As for my favorites, i love the WMS winning sounds, especially the classic ones with the guys voice exclaiming "Unbelievable, Incredible" etc., and i also really like the winning sounds, and soundtracks in general from almost all Thunderkick games :)

Agreed I hate that battle cry and to be honest I'm not even keen on the music it sounds like it should continue but it just loops and I find that highly irritating! Just mute the slot as it's a very good game and I'm still yet to see it at its best.
