Be The Dealer

I just visited the Be The Dealer site, and it seems too good to be true, so I am therefore a bit skeptical. The way I figure, if I bet $1000 as a player, my expected loss is x%. I then bet $1000 as dealer, and my expected gain is x%. These numbers cancel each other out, so that I have no expected loss. If I have no expected loss, then the site has no expected gain. Of course, the site must make money, so I must be missing something. Does anyone know what?

Actually, and I hope I remember this right and it makes sense ...

When you play as the dealer, the casino takes out a percentage of your profit when the player loses. Therefore, your percentage as a dealer is not the same as a player.

I think there's more to it than that simple definition, but can't recall more right now.

I believe it works something like this. You have to play a bit as a player. While playing as a player, win or lose, you gain points. When you have enough points you can go play as a dealer. These points you earned get deducted each time you are the dealer. Then on top of that, when you win as the dealer they take a cut from your win. I dont know the exact percentage.

One thing I do know for sure ...

As bing stated, you must earn points playing before you can be a dealer. Also, you must have a certain amount in your bankroll AND a certain amount of dealer points before the casino will let you "be the dealer."

Now if I could convert the massive dealer points I currently have at one of their skin sites, I'd be frickin' rich. ;)

In other words, you are expected to lose in the long run, no matter what!

My advice is to not put any money in bethedealer. The bj feels like a slotmachine. Same software as Reef Club Casino so I am not all that surprised.

As for being a dealer, you pay a 1.5% commission on each BJ hand. So it definately don't give the play any edge unless the players are totally incompetent.

1.5%? I thought being the dealer was a reward for playing, not a punishment.
Why would anyone be the dealer if they get better odds as a player?
Plus, I don't trust this site. I emailed them 2 days ago, asking the same thing I did here, but they didn't respond. Any company that refuses to answer inquiries as to how their site works goes on my blacklist.

I do not agree with you. I played a week ago, not only me but 2 of my friends and co-players too, and we killed this place playing blackjack...
Each one of us won 700% of our deposits. Pretty good money. Blackjack
is ...."different"..... but it is fair. And if you feel the streaks, as we did,
you can make a lot of money. Also the customer support manager, Dean,
is a nice speaking person, honest and tries to resolve all problems quickly.
That's my opinion and i repeat that i played recently there. Also my withdrawal was proccesed without any hassles. One more, I received an email
from the greek representative of btd ( I'm greek ) offering me the same
bonus one more time if i deposit in august. So my experience there was
really good.

That's all by me!

Have fun!!!!

Did you take on the dealer's role or you just played BJ?

I disagree also. I have done well both times I have played at be the dealer. I played most of my be the dealer points on video poker because most people were so bad at it. I didn't want to be the dealer at BJ, so I just used them as comp points and traded them in for money instead. The 5 day waiting period sucks, but if you aren't bankroll limited its ok. IT also isn't Reef Club software.....isn't that what CON uses?

How exactly did you do this? I have a LOT of dealer points and would love to trade them for more playing money if I can.

Go to Cashier--->Deposit---->Dealer Points

It's one of like 14 or 15 selections along with neteller and all the others. One of them says Dealer points. 10000=$10

YOu do many of their promos? I have no idea how many times you have to wager them. I played today and did the blackjack Super ACes promo 5 times...do I have to play that rebate a certain number of times or is it just considered already played? I'd like to discuss the site more with you, probably via PM.

Many thanks, though I didn't know 10,000 was the minimum. At least they won't go to waste ...

As far as promos, I just recently played at Croupier Club and absolutely killed the software. After all was said and done, I had pulled out just about 9x my deposit from them. Guess that's why they onlyallow you to collect bonuses at one casino that uses the Be the Dealer software and no second or thirds. ;)

Not very familiar with their promos ... yet. I've been thinking about looking at their reload bonuses since I did so well with my initial deposit.

Yeah, I just did my first reload after doing well on the 1000/200 initial. I liked that one with the free 200% dealer points because people there have no clue how to play video poker AND it's a short pay. Todays promo of if you deposit $100 during the day, you could not lose the Blackjack hand if the first card dealt you was an ace(up to 5 times during the day) was quite nice. I used it all 5 times because I was playing anyways. I have cleared my bonus(I think.....) and am now just playing around. I was played RIGHT after the 5 days elapsed last time, but it takes these good bonuses and winning streaks to keep me coming back for 5 day delays.

That is nonsense. I never understood people who claim BJ is streaky but fair. Kosher BJ plays one way and rigged/programmed BJ another way. Anyone willing to put money in a casino they don't belive deals a normal game because of their ability to predict streaks are fools.

When a game of BJ doesn't feel right that is a huge red flag. The mere fact that you think it is "different" is reason enough to run away, and not recommend the casino.
