Bayton / Conan Discussion (Cut from Affactive Thread)

Yep, besides them I also hope Bayton and Conan will be gone forever within a while

What are bayton and Conan? And why would they be gone?

I know there used to be a Conan casino which was renamed Cosmik after a while.

Bayton is the official Maltese owner of SpinPalace & co, COnan the owner of Cosmik, Osiris and some other brands. Looking at their position at the hacked websites it's obvious they were and are into this.

Do you have a link for this ?
So its not safe to play in any Accreditet Palace Group Casinos (Bayton)/Digimedia Casinos anymore ?:eek2:
(Digimedia has the same registered adress in Malta like The palace group/Bayton LTD and they have sometimes completely identical Promotions so i am sure they are connectet )

Onto what? If you are implying that Spin Palace has anything to do with Affactive you are way, way off. Spin palace may be associated with some black hat marketing, but they have zilch to do with Gabi's casinos. Please don't start spreading unfounded malicious rumors here, thank you.

Into this hackers thing. They were and are on every website. Good positions and more brands of them on that websites. Quite obvious they know with who they're doing business.

Which is completely another thing than having something to do with Gabi's casino's.

I know what you mean, the Wordpress hack that they are turning a blind eye to.

It's their fault that by turning a blind eye to this they now come under suspicion of being connected to something much bigger that has just blown up in the seedier side of online gambling. They certainly are doing business with black hat outfits and hackers, but this is pretty trivial when compared to a hack on a major US bank. Don't forget, it's not their dodgy casinos that got them into so much trouble, it's the securities fraud (the pump and dump) and the JP Morgan hack that has the FBI so interested, and so damn keen to get them extradited.

Well, it might be trivial but it is supporting this kind of people. They're doing business with them and they know who they are. They got good positions on every websites and with more of their brands. A hacker won't put them their for such a long time if he isn't sure about getting his money. And I guess it was about some serious money. So Spin Palace & co knew with who they were doing business. They're doing business with them, they're sponsoring them and supporting them.

Yep, the JP Morgan hack made it happen that they came into the spotlights. But let's see what else is coming out. A JP Morgan hack is not an action on its own. There should be more. Way more.

How can you know that it's the SAME hackers in both cases. It just means that Bayton have done business with some hackers, but this is not necessarily the same people as those behind the JP Morgan hack.

Of course, the problem for Bayton is that this major case has tarnished them because a minor part of it does expose the dark side of the online gambling business, and by dabbling in these "dark arts", Bayton have associated themselves with the same kinds of people.

The saying is, "You lie with dogs, you get fleas". Bayton is more likely to come under scrutiny from the EU now that this major hacking scandal has an association with unlicensed online gambling. Bayton does not do business with US players, unlike Affactive brands did, so it's not going to be the FBI that come after Bayton.

However, if these chaps are successfully extradited to the US, what they know and are prepared to spill in order to get themselves a lighter sentence may lead back to the black hat people that Bayton does business with, and the FBI will most likely pass this information over to their EU counterparts once they are through with the negotiations and have charged these people.

We may well see operators like Bayton ditching their black hat partners ahead of any potential fall out coming from the JP Morgan and Affactive investigations, and they may find that their black hat friends will turn into black hat foes and start punishing those that ditch them unless they agree to pay them money to compensate for the revenue lost by being cut out of the affiliate earnings.
